I closed two posts since a member was having rants and raves and not really about diabetes, how his life is messed up and he doesn't want to go back into the mental institution, etc and I was getting PMs from him also with even more rants and raves...so I made a judgement call and closed the messages to stop it hopefully or before someone posted something that shouldn't be said.
me and another member have also gotten PM from someone else which were not the best thing to be posting. When you have to tell someone over and over "to call your doctor" and no quick thinking your symptoms mean you have this or that disease, doesn't mean we are being mean, hostile, etc but sometimes you just can't help them.
But when you tell someone something and they immediately get defensive because you didn't say what they wanted to hear, it can be frustrating....but hey I have been the bad gal before LOL....
This disease does not come with a manual, does not have a cure and sometimes a person needs to be told in the best way possible and to try and support even tho it is not what they want to hear

DS would have closed that "potty mouth" post anyway. What I said was true a lot of the old timers just quit posting because of the negative posts and the language.
I reckon those folks that are complaining are comfortable with such language but I believe the majority is not. Especially on a Public Forum.
I see a couple of those poster dominate other Support Groups also.
