I came across this article and found it interesting and also the comments that people posted.


I have been "diabetic" (yes I used the word to describe me) for 18 years and have no problem with it, never did from the get go, it is not derogatory, it is part of who I am. I am a gray haired old lady who is diabetic

It is just a word, and I don't think we should fear it, I wear many labels as we all do, they are part of our life but what is your opinion to this word.
