We must change the world from the underside of its belly---one partnership at a time. Hang a rope swing on an old tree and show a neighbor kid how much more fun this is than being stuck inside playing computer games that he must like because he has 2 uncles who invested money in the company (smiles), and this game has distributors in 57 nations!
We cannot blame others when we have it within ourselves, one step at a time, 1 person at a time, to make some changes and engage the young minds of our day in activities not connected to the global economy. You know I am right----right? Come on, let's debate this, and prove me right or wrong---My ego is healthy!!
The only time my three year old plays a game on the computer, is his "school time". I have him do preschool online, since we make too much money for him to get in for free, and not enough to pay. He has more than doubled his knowledge of numbers (counting and adding) since we started playing those games.
Anyways, I am also trying to raise my boys to be environmentally conscience; I don't want them to grow up and be one of those guys sitting on 128 billion, laughing at those of us who barely survive. In my opinion, they can all F off!
Thats my two cents! Hugs to all!
Honestly it really stinks sometimes, but that kids hangs out with all the "bad behavior" kids (that's what I tell Aidan why he can't play with them, cuz they're not bad but their behavior is ridiculous) in the neighborhood. My son is a vulnerable age, and he assumes that everything he hears and sees is okay to say and do.
He is also a natural at soccer, so we bought him a regulation ball, and he can play like he's been in training his whole life. His friend really stinks at it, so he tries to tell my son that he isn't doing it right and this is how you do it. The other kid is just way too bossy and disrespectful, and gets away with all of it cuz he is an only child and granny's boy. in his granny's eyes he rarely does any wrong.
Well back on topic..... I seem really strict and mean to a lot of people, but in today's world I have to be. I don't want my kids turning out like some of the kids I have seen. It just won't happen, I will teach them as much as I can about life as well as scholarly things.
Anyways.... Thank you very much CJ, that really meant a lot. I may be one strict momma, but my kids are respectful and honest!
