Hello all:
I just thought of a great analogy. Im gonna try it on my boss. Those of us that suffer from chronic pain. illness, lupus, back problems, and especially fatigue are like our phones.
What I mean by that is our body's can hold a charge for a day or so. Like our phones. iphones etc. As the charge gets lower and lower our phone loses charge, the bar on the phone goes down.
Eventually we get a warning from our phones, that we have only 20% charge left. Like our bodies. Then we get a warning 10% charge left. Eventually if you dont charge your phone/body then peeooonnnn peeeonnn poof your phone just shuts down automatically. Like my body. If only other people could understand this simple concept.....

Of course you can use it Erica. It is so hard to get other people to understand our illnesses so gotta try analogies. I think a car with an empty tank of gas or a dead battery are similar.
I have read the Spoon Theory and I like it but not sure my cold ass family would take the time to read it.

I especially like the analogy of when the phone dies. My old Verizon phone would make a noise like
bootalooo bootaloo and just shut off. Like my brain! haha
