a] they used to go higher but stop printing anything higher than 100 , they are now its against the law to have like 1,000 strange that i know this lol

The largest denomination of U. S. currency currently being printed is the 100 dollar bill.

Larger bills were discontinued in 1969 and have not been printed since 1945 due to lack of use.

Notes in the denominations of $500, $1,000, $5,000, and $10,000 were
printed for general use; a $100,000 note was printed for certain internal transactions.

These notes are legal tender and may be found in circulation today; however, most
notes still in circulation are probably in the hands of private numismatic dealers and collectors.
