Hi JC, I don't think or at least I hope cage won't mind me spilling the beans so to speak. Her computer has a horrible virus. She's unavle to do anything with it. If there are any computer experts out there.....Erika, maybe Scott could help her. As it stands right now, there's a good chance she'll loose all her pictures, inrs she can never get back. I've offered to send her my lap top.

This circle is strong and dammit she really needs us. Her Bday is Sun, she an Easter baby bundle this year. Please, let's all put our thinking caps on and come up with a way to help her. Hell as it stands right now we can't even have a party for her as she can't get on without infecting everyone, like I said she says it a horrible virus. She spoke to a computer repair guy and he can't even guarantee being able to fix it without her loosing all her pics.

Toni, please don't be angry with me. I've never spilled the beans so to speak, but in this case I threw caution to the wind as so many Love you. I had sent you a text yrsterday asking if it would be ok for me to update everyone and then hit myself upside the head with a big DUH, as I know you can't answer.

From what I understand the only way around this is to have her computer cleaned out and then she would have to pick a new screen name. So there you have it. I do apologize to everyone I had intended on telling you all in the evening checkin, only I fell asleep and just woke up now, its 2:59am. Please let's do all we can to lift her spirits. Thanks for posting this JC! If anyone has snub?'s & can't get ahold of her please feel free to give me a call.

Oh no! This is drastic. Hmmmm trying to think of what to do. I could talk to IT guys at work but doubt they could help much without knowing the details.

Is the virus also part of her phone (re not being able to text) and I thought perhaps her DS account might be safe but if that has been compromised too then the situation is almost dire.

I was going to suggest Toni use her phone to access DS but doesn't sound like an option.

It doesn't sound good when the computer guy isn't so positive. :(

I just hope that this is not causing her pain levels to rise off the chart.

And I can't believe it is her birthday on Sunday. It might feel strange to have a party without the guest of honour (but fingers crossed the computer is fixed by then). Still think we proceed with the party.

We're having prodlems with all systems...
Including my husbands computer.. which is ultra protected because it contains all his business info.
As I noted on post to Joanne last night..DS is acting up, again.
This is the second time DS has been doing " fixes" that our computers ended up compromised..
I find that too coincidental.
I have Eli this a.m. and then dental surgery..
Will try to get a old of Toni somewhere in there.

If you don't have alternate contact info with DS folks..

Hmmm...just a suggestion....undo all power sources....including battery. I have found that this helps....sometimes.
But, a suggestion to all, before it happens to you, get backup disk, device....for whatever you use....backup pics and other systems like once a week.
Have done so with my laptop. Need to do so with my tablet and phone. Or, send things to "the cloud". Then you can do a reset of computer without losing pics. It's worth the time, in the long run!

My profession is IT. I am surrounded by nerds all day. If I can't help, one of my team can. I work with some smart cookies. I can give her a call tonight.

UPDATE ON TONI,

Hi all, I just spoke with Toni and she brought her computer in to be fixed yesterday, she's hoping to have it back today or tomorrow at the latest.

She asked me to pass on that she Loves and misses everyone very much. She also added that she's been having her own little party and is enjoying her very own cabana boy! Lol! She said she can hardly wait to get back on here as she misses her family and wanted me to pass on a thank you to all that offered to help,

JC, thank you again for this post and a big hug not only to you, but also to everyone else who responded and offered to help. I told her about the posts & she said thank you to all, & that it really meant a lot!
