The winter scene reminds me of what I have always envisioned as the perfect lead up to Christmas. There is no such thing in anyone's life. We do our best and hope for perfection, we want everything to be as we wish after being bombarded by the Christmas songs, Christmas movies and the advertising. Everything comes together in order for us to fall short. We are but humble servants on a planet with the richness of each one of us being unique. Do what you can, enjoy the day and for those that have other or no beliefs this is your day too, feast and celebrate. For those that believe this celebrates the birth of Christ ( although he had to have been born in the Spring since there was a shepherder ) have a glorious day of remembrance.
My dinner is mostly done and I am not making more then two desserts. Daughter #2 Gabrielle and her hubby plus there two teens and one 10 year and the boys will be here. No tiny tots which I do miss......
I do hope each one of us finds enjoyment not in the gifting but in the moment where at least once a year people stop and care.

Moonie that is a beautiful scene and what many picture it to be. The songs and movies are flowing. No tiny tots here either. Enjoy your family meeting up. I'm a believer and I'm celebrating His birth and all it means, whenever it was. Made my pumpkin pie, I'm set :).
In spite of the wished scenery, I'd love to share mine with everyone! 64 yesterday and 67 today, sunshine is glowing all the days!
Just stuffed myself and feel like the Christmas goose!
