I'm glad you're enjoying your vacation, but that you realize it's not a place for you to live is huge! At least you know because of the weather, it would be a bad move.I hope your pain eases enenough for you to enjoy the rest of your stay there. Hope Ed is doing well on his own. I'm sure he misses you. Have a great day!
It's another warm day so I'm off to the beach. Scott just left for work after another laye night. I finally had to just ask him to stop and call me when he's going to be really late at night so I know what's going on. Sometimes men have no clue! (Sorry guys, but you don't) if I think you're coming home for dinner at 8:00, I don't expect you at 10:00 unless I get a call.
Anyway, I have my pedicure tonight. I need that desperately. Hopefully, all dealing with all these storms are doing well. Praying that everyone having pain issues can have a pain free day! (Wouldn't that be nice?) Is it possible, probably not, but I'll pray for it anyway.
Love and hugs going out to All,
Xoxoxo

i'm sorry that this southern weather is so hard on you. the big saying here is it's not the heat, it's the humidity and it can do a number on you. i know it's hard to be away from your dear family, but it sounds like you're clear on where you need to be. i'm glad that your friend is in a safe area. it's scary to see what's happening in that area. good luck finishing the horse. hope you enjoy the rest of your vacation in NC.
there was a really big thunderstorm here last night. tina and sat out on her balcony and watched as it rolled in. quite a light show. i slept on the sofa most of the night to hear it.
the mobile market comes today and i have my list ready. i'm also expecting another amazon package, so those are my highlights.
i called the restaurant daddy wants to go to for his b'day dinner and they don't have a private dining area. when i asked her the best time to come so we could speak without yelling she said 10:30 am LOL. that's taking the early special to a new level! we'll work it out.
fyi, i'm going to bake cookies for 2 of the maintenance men for their good service. the nice guy who came and worked on the mold understood i was just fed up b/c he's seen the way thing go around here. he complimented me on my apt and asked if it was so nice for the inspection and i said no it's my home and sanctuary. i was so honored by that. tooting my horn is over.
best wishes to all for a pleasant low pain and safe day. hugs!
Well i know it may be hard to understand but these nightmares have pushed my pain thru the roof. This morning woke up and pain is a 9.5. It is reverberating throughout my whole body and down to my feet. Worried about my job. But i just cant do it today. Told the boss i was more or less shittin blood which i am.
Im sure this is a flareup but it is a rough one. I am taking two long term meds and back to bed. Short term meds are in desk at work.
I have one small request for the circle. Somehow make me feel better about calling in sick today. I need this job and insurance but i am sick alot.
That is all i can type for now.
Marrin
enjoy the mobile market Serenity. im glad you enjoyed the thunder and lightening show. i would have been scared out of my mind. how nice of you to bake for the maintenance crew. hi hope your pain has come down Martin. i think its best you stayed home with pain like that, i just wish your short term meds werent at work in your desk.
i woke up with a blasted headache and the sound of an animal snorting out my window. i sat up and pain hit me frm the top right side of my head. scott helped me out of bed and grabbed my cane i stumbled out to see what the ruckus was. i only say two dear at alert. therer must have been a moose out there or something agitated them. downstairs, Snapper and Toro were standing at attention looking upp here towards the house. head hurt too bad to go out and explore. probably best, what am i going to do? hit whatever over the head with my cane?? now thats a sight.
going to be at moms to surprise Lee with his birthday treats around 1030am. besides the pumpkin chocolate chip bread loaf i made him i bought him a pocket watch with a flying with on the cover and Scott got him a double insulated plastic tumbler with lid and straw. he normally used a plastic powerade drink bottle half frozen for ice water but now he has ice and water from the fridge so the reusable starbucks cup with straw is perfect for him now.
the advil i took awhile ago is helping lift that headache, thank goodness. i wanna wish you all a nice day with managed pain.
Just popping in. Busy day today. It's Maddy's 13th birthday!! So much to do
See you a little later!!
Autumn
The weather's been so scary in Texas & India. So sad about all the people lost. The heat is record breaking in India. It has already killed 1100 people!
The weather channel had some terrifying footage & stories about the poor families that got together for the holiday in Texas. Their house was torn off its foundation and floated down the deluge of water & slammed into a bridge. So,very heartbreakingly sad.
The father has survived with injuries. His wife & two children are missing. She got to call her sister to tell her what was happening before contact was lost.
It was a blessing she got to tell her sister that she Loved her. So incredibly important to let all your loved ones know how much you truly care, even though you may not always get along. Never go to bed angry & if possible try not to let the conversation leave you or them with any negative feelings.
Many prayers going out. Bless them all! xoxoxox
I Love how creative everyone in the Circle is! :)
Grammagus,
What kind of horse are you making? I'm needing visual clues. :)
I'd love it, if someone made a horse for me!
What colors are you using?
What kind of materials?
My sisters & I used to walk to the horse ranch about a mile down the road from our parents house when we were little & we'd catch & ride the wild ponies bareback through the fields. What fun that was! :)
Animals are so amazing! I love them all so very much!
I still have a scar on my left leg from crawling through the barbed wire fence there.
I thought the saying went like this; "It's not the heat, It's the stupidity." Ha Ha!
I can't take the credit for that one. :)
I've been wetting the bed a lot lately! Uhgg! Gurr!
No, no, no, not in that way! :)
Thank all the Gods! ( FYI, This includes all the Goddesses too, for future reference. )
My skills in DIY ice packs needs some extra special attention. I've been using those extra large zip-locks. I think I could use at least a dozen, maybe a baker dozen? 13 is a lucky number for me.
It felt so good though, waking up in the cool watery bed! You know, It was exactly when the ice melted enough to really feel relaxing & cooling, like an amazing anti inflammatory action! Love Ice! :)
Now, I'm thinking of wrapping myself up in grape leaves for some reason...?
I love stuffed grape leaves! Yummy!
Well, it looks like I may get to see a specialist for the Crohn's disease & fistula after all.
Called my GI yesterday. I asked for a few more names of specialists, cause the one he gave me never got back to me about my insurance, or scheduling an appointment. So I figured it wasn't going to happen. Kind of a big hassle anyway....
I don't have much faith that they can really do anything that will help me. Not that I feel I'm a lost cause. Just that their medicine (s) have had a particularly bad track record with my sensitive system.
Bottom line;
If it gives ya more bad side effects than good ones, It's not right for ya.
So, if he suggests a new pharmaceutical for me, I don't think I'm going to try it. I've lived quite a long time with this disease without meds...
My appointments on June, 15th in Westcheter Medical Center.
It's looking like I'll be needing that air cast for my ankle after all.
Oil well.
Please know, that even if I can't post, I'm thinking of you & as always, hoping you are feeling your best, and finding the joy, beauty & love in your every day life.
I greatly admire that so many of you can post everyday!
Not much I can do on a regular, daily basis.
Breathing is a good one! :)
Great love & strength to the circle!

hiero, i feel for all those affected by both situations. heartbreaking stories. when i was having serious hot flashes i bought a "chillow" 2 actually, you put water in them and keep them in the fridge. oh, delightful! now i buy cheap washclothes wet them and put them in ziplocks to freeze. ice is a good friend!
fingers and toes crossed that this dr can help you without awful sides. nice songs as always.
while the storms are pretty they're really getting to me. i baby stepped it to the mobile market. the sweet girl who works this one gave me some good discounts and you run into the nicest people there. i had to stop a few times and instead of thinking about pain had to say "i'm a trooper, i'm a trooper" and i got there and back with my bag full of goodies :)
i saw the maintenance guy who came to the rescue yesterday and thanked him again. i'm not sure if i can make cookies today. i need my energy for tomorrow.
Grammagus I've lived in the humidity my entire life and I'm still not use to it. Good thing you have had the time to find out now that it is to much for you and can go back to where you are comfortable. Keep stretching those wore out fingers.
ME glad your weather is letting you go enjoy yourself finally :). Enjoy that pedicure too! The He-Man mode kicks in and doesn't want to shut off. There is good and not so good in that :). Glad you just told him.
Serenity that is an early dinner! Looks like you might be going somewhere else. Toot your horn all you want, it's hard to keep up feeling the train run you over! Cookies will be nice after the pyscho waves a knife at you....tee hee
Aw sorry you are hurting so much Martin. Of course you stay home and get rest. We told you this is serious and I can't imagine working under these conditions. Try to call the doctor and set up an appt please. Hugs.
Erika hope that headache goes away, what a way to wake up and then animals outside your window to top it off. You really are remote out there! What a birthday Lee is going to have...thanks to you and the others!
Good morning Autumn! Busy, busy as usual :). Happy birthday Miss Maddy . Enjoy your first teenager birthday!!
Minnie yippee your son is back and safe!! That boy puts the fear in you! Maybe your pain will go down a little just knowing he's alright :)
Hiero I've been keeping up with the weather reports also, but did not know about India. How devastating. Grammagus crochets ;). Ha watered down bed! Good luck with a new specialist.......never know when a new treatment might pop up.
I'm going to try to go pick up my script today and fill it. Give myself a "bird bath" and sink shampoo ;). Burning again. Slept for a little while and dreamed I was on a plane and the engine was burning and crashing down.....sheesh. Woke myself up sucking air in. Just going to roll with the punches today.
Low pain and smooches!
Toni
ME glad your weather is letting you out and about! Men are not born with the same internal thought process. Really, so they have us!
Serenity-you have your sanctuary and I hope today you can just enjoy yourself after baby steps to the market.
Martin-you need the day to recalibrate your heart/body/soul. Rest my friend.
Erika hope that headache goes away!!! What a birthday Lee is having with so much love from the family.
Autumn, what a wonderful day in store for Maddy! Enjoy.
Minnie-knowing your son is safe might help the pain!
Hiero-I have many family members in safe places due to the Texas flooding. Unbelievable how the water rushes in so quickly and deadly. New doc might be the answer.
Toni, that dream is so disturbing! Pick up the Rx and then just relax. An order!
Foot, leg, neck, head........all say they are glad that Carly had fun on the beach trip but they are not happy with what I put them through. I am in control so the body will need to just let me deal. Sheesh! I refuse to stop being involved in my life choices just because there are consequences to the pain demons.
I spent 30 minutes trying to find my phone this am bc I forgot where it went when cleaning up from the beach trip....naturally it was on silent ring and also the last place I looked....
Going to try and pot my veggies.....
Hugs, Love and Low Pain,
Moonie
all my animals. It is : www.angelfire. com/az/grammagus.
The little horse is under land animals. It is the pony. Savannah requested a purple
pony with black hooves and large pink eyes.
I made a whole wheat knobby apple cake for tonight's dessert.
My daughter is making pork chops and macaroni salad.
Love to all
GrammaG I have been wondering when our southern summer would start bothering your arthritis.
I know you have enjoyed your family though. It is good to have a trial run kind of like a test drive on a new car.
Humidity and the constant change in temps can really be hard on arthritis or any other pain.
Serenity I got a good chuckle last night what I read your knife story vs maintenance man. Your crockpot meal sounded delish. Possibly elevenish for your dad's birthday lunch. So you are getting the rain. We have had it in forecast but are clear so far.
Mary Ellen I agree on a call.No need to prepare a meal if it is that late. Sounds like you are going to get some good beach time.
Autumn happy birthday to Maddie. Does she have a sleepover or party planned for Friday night? They grow up so fast.
Martin sorry you are still feeling bad. A fissure is nothing to ignore. I did when I was younger and I needed surgery to repair it. This is cautionary tale to all who think they may have one. Mine came from childbirth.
So Martin keep it movin buddy. Whatever works best for you.
Minnie so good to hear your heard from your "doing it my way" kiddo. Oh but we love our children. How I have managed to get through mine to 41 and 38, well I don't know. Lots of therapy. I see them as men but in my heart oh in my heart they just might need their mama. I know yours are way younger but don't be surprised if you still feel that way.
Erika what a way to wake up. Hope that nasty headache was gone. I am starting to visualize a beautiful place where you live. Wishing for a wonderful day of celebration for Lee. I know he love his gifts and that pumpkin chocolate chip bread. Reminds me I am ready for some more banana chocolate chip bread.
Hiero great jam on the songs, especially Neil Young. Good idea on ice pack. Just add some rubbing alcohol and I think they will be squishy and if you don't fill full all will be well. That is unless you want a glorious wet bed. You always make me smile. I am sorry about your ankle. Yet you keep moving and that is a wonderful thing.
Joanne your choices are always the right ones and it sounds like you and granddaughter had a wonderful time. Today I hope is as special as you are.
Toni by now the meds have been picked up and you are resting. That is my wish for you. I believe it has taken me three hours to get to this point. For real!!!! Another wish for you is arms behaving themself.
I have so much I think I will journal it. Head is above water because I know how to float. You never struggle in rough waters. You float.
love and peace
