As long as you were feeling good that's what matters. I've done it myself, just for temporary period. And no regrets. Agreed, wouldn't make it a regular thing. But if it helps then that's what counts.
So happy you got to create and share great memories with Eli. Memories are such a real gift in life. No one can take them away. And he will have those memories forever.

jc, i know it's not safe, but pain mgmt, as they call it, isn't really life. i'm glad you got to make some great memories with eli. you needed that as much as he did. good luck with the end of your meds. is your doc the understanding kind?

hi JC... you my dear are not alone. there are some days when i need more as well. standing on the sidelines, watching "life" go by is no life at all so one of my intentions for this new year is grabbing the moment by the horns and riding that bull til it tires out...so, if that means ill need an extra drop of tincture or a bite of my mmj pb bars then ill do just that! some days i need more, some less, it all goes down to what my activities are.

i fell a week ago monday... big ouch on its own but come New Years day my friend and i sled down my hill in a thule! i hurt like i havent hurt in ages now but you know what? every giggle and cackle was worth every but of this pain today, and i would do it again. i applaud you for your honesty.

(i too am not a Doctor but i know my body by now. ((and isnt that what the "As Needed" is printed after the 2 -4x a day is anyways on my script?? lol)) ..do i have regrets? not one! i will be sure to let my PM dr know what i did in hopes she will understand. )

i think you have every right to be eased of your pain. im glad you were able to make some awesome memories with your grand baby. i vote for quality of life.

i have had to take extra here and there dont feel guilty god you have been threw so much , im sure you hurt more i want to say thank you for being there for me I admire your strength honey thoses moments with grandkids are so healing there wonderful little soles who smile that has power to make you feel blessed. I'm with you......taken those extras to get through! Glad you went for the memories and had a somewhat break from the pains that hold you back so much. Just easy goes it on the doses huh, learn how much is enough and how much is too much ;). Want you to have/make many more memories with Eli and Mini Peatmoss.

No fooling for years I told many docs I was smoking some for my pain and they said they didn't blame me a bit, but They didn't know a thing! Your docs probably understand you more than you think they do.

JC so happy to hear you had those pain free times with Eli and your family during the holidays .
I believe a wise choice as you know your body and have been on this road a long time. Not inappropriate to share your holiday memories and joy.

The first of December my doctor adjusted my meds after almost a year. It was one week before our vacation and I can't begin to say what a difference it made. Best vacation I have had in years and also best Christmas.
As you know and we all know it won't be that way always we will take the wins. when we can get them.

Hi JC, I too applaud you for your honesty. The memories that were made are priceless and in my humble opinion so worth taking the extra. I've had a couple of times over the years where I did exactly as you did, only I told my Dr and on all three occasions my Dr actually listened and adjusted my meds....just a thought. With all you have on your plate I find it hard to believe that your dr wouldn't be compassionate or at the very least compromise so you can continue to make and have these wonderful memories. You go girl, live life, just use caution in Doing so.
