i'm so glad the kids appreciated your animals and know they will for years. i hope you find some nice yarn and have a good day all around.
tina came down last night for a visit and the computer. i'm so glad i got the router working again, so we can both work. the new melatonin really works and i fell asleep as soon as she left - on the sofa. about 11 the fire alarm went off. at first it came into my dream, then totally woke me. penny just came and sat on my feet instead of hiding as she usually does. i just stroked her and tried to hold her ears down. the fire dept finally got here and shut it off. just someone burning food apparently. after relaxing a bit - calming down - we went to bed and i slept well.
today i may have to go downtown b/c i want to make a good luck new year's dinner and make some calls i don't want to about a bill and other no fun calls, but as grammagus said it's take it on.
yesterday evening i got to speak to mother briefly, but my sister got there. i can't help but feel she comes first. every time i got out of the car on the trip my mother was on the phone with her and texting other times.
i'll make it the best day i can and hope you can too. big hugs and hopes for low pain and stress.
I just do not know how y'all track so well this early in the day.
..I'm here, reading. :-)
Hugs all
jc
Grammagus, I can't help but think of all the children's smiling faces as they received your beautiful gifts. Bless your heart for all you do. I'm glad for you that Ed slept all day so that you were able too. Fingers crossed your daughter will find a place for all of you soon, I know how much your looking forward to it.
Serenity, yeeha! I'm so happy that you were finally able to get a good nights sleep. I'm glad your routers up and running and you had a nice visit with Tina. I hope your calls go well and there are no hiccups.
JC, it's so wonderful to see your fuzzy self here this morning. Your not the only one who has a hard time tracking in the morning, I fake it lol! I hope you have a happy day!
I have my PM appt this afternoon, I only have one more left and then after ten years of seeing this wonderful man he'll be gone. They are hiring another part time dr there that I could go to & I can always see his boss who is a complete pompous ass. On a bright note at the last visit he recommended a Dr that does the pain pump & long term pain management. I finally checked him out this morning & he's the director of what seems like on paper anyways, a great pain clinic that besides the normal stuff they also offer alternative therapies which is right up my alley. I was able to get an appt. with my spine specialist on Feb 5th. Depending on what he says and or finds or not finds will determine if I try the new pain doc. If I hurry I might just be able to get three hrs sleep in before I need to start getting ready for my appt.
Have a fantabulous day everyone. I hope everyone's pain stays low and your spirit is high!!
Hugs & God Bless
Lisa
Grammagus, I'm sorry that Ed is in pain so often. Those of us who live with severe Chronic Pain tend to do that, although I wouldn't call it whining. I don't know what his ailments are but I hope he's being treated for the pain. I'm glad he's sleeping better. Is there no one in your congregation who could come spell you for a while?. Otherwise, I can imagine it gets old real quick being his babysitter. You need help! Very kind of you to distribute some of your wares to children. Seems like it's time to have a good talk with your daughter to find out one way or another, what's going on.
Serenity, glad you're home and enjoyed your visit with Tina. Wow, that liquid melatonin does seem to work! Inconsiderate @$!%*&! Horrible way to wake up. I hope you get everything you need early so you don't have to go out in the cold tomorrow. Glad you're home.
Lisa, talk to Mary Ellen. She has the pain pump and I'm sure knows a lot about them. I hope your next pm doc is as good to you as this one has been. Always a pain in the butt to find a new doc. Now to be with you! Good luck at your appointment.
I usually don't post this early but since I got up at 6, I'm on my 3rd cup of coffee. I just can't hold a coherent thought when I first wake up. I can read but that's about it. But now my one brain cell is fired up. 37 degrees with a "real feel" of 30 right now. I have Roxie in the computer room with me. Max and Jack are in. Jack's in bed but I can't find sneaky boy Max. Until I do, Roxy can't run around the house. He has to come out eventually. Sigh.
No plans today other than cat (& kitten) wranglin'. I hope everyone stays warm in this weather.
Hugs,
Dianna
Gramnagus, I'm sure the kids loved your beautiful creations. They must have been so excited. I'm so sorry Ed is having so many issues. It's tough I'm sure, especially if you're not getting your sleep. With regards to the apartment, I've been looking for one here for quite a while and I'm only one person. The stuff out there right now is either priced too high like 1600 - 2200 for a one bedroom and that's way too much for me to pay every month. The apartments that I see that are even remotely in my range are either in the wrong areas or total crap thst I wouldn't live in. It took me over a year to find the apartment I'm in now. I'm sure that's what's taking so long.
Serenity I'm glad you got your routers working and were able to spend time with Tina. I'm going and get that melentonin this morning. I'm glad you're sleeping better honey. Enjoy your day.
Lisa, maybe a new doctor is just the right thing for you. A new set of eye's to look and maybe see something different. I love my pain pump as you know. Yes, I've had problems with it, but I still love it. Hope you get some rest. Good luck at the drs. today.
JC, my fingers are numb already, but if I wait any longer they'll be too many on here and it'll take me an hour to respond. Love seeing you here.
Dianna, I hope you got alot of rest yesterday after all the cooking and entertaining you did last week. Have a good one my friend
I'm off to the gym. I'll be back later
Have a great day with low pain.
Love and hugs
Xoxoxo

Grammagus those of us in pain and limitations have many daily challenges, but the role of caregiver would have to be also. How kind you've been to come on here to learn ways to be understanding of Ed. Somehow someway find something just for you :).
Serenity glad that melatonin is working so well. Seems Penny's instincts to protect you were high, maybe it was those lucky pennies along with her love for you.
JC are you serious? I'm not even awake at that hour! and don't want to be. I scroll and scroll and scroll haha.
Lisa I've trained 3 new docs in 3 years, hope I don't have to do it anymore! Make that appt. with the good sounding doc, the first appt. will just be an eval anyways. You need him whatever the spine doc says!!!
Dianna you've been getting up very early anymore, what's up with that? Hmm have you had enough of this winter weather yet? haha. I have to say I haven't whined that I want your temps anything like last year ;)
Me go show those rodeo cowboys how to do it! ummm that kind of sounds............oops haha. Wish you'd find your dream home and settle right in :)
I have a little running around to do, but nothing that will throw the world off its axis. Have a sink full of dishes I need to do and guess i'll do them since it looks like those darn cabana boys aren't showing up! A little here and there...........we'll see who wins ;)
Much love,
Toni
Loves to you
toni, i'm not sure which, but i worry about both our hearing. i wish those cabana boys would show up at both our places. apparently they're just party animals. good luck running around. easy does it.
grammagus, glad you have some options for looking after ed.
minnie, hope you feel better today and it's not a stomach bug.
i just got back and that dang alarm was going off again. thankfully, staff was here to turn it off. the grocery store was busy, but ok so it wasn't a long wait there or for the bus.
just found out my cousin is in ICU from a diabetic emergency. he just won't adjust his diet and his wife is sick of monitoring him. i took him to the ER a few years ago and he was admitted immediately. he was supposed to be taking me somewhere and i tricked him into going to the hospital. his sisters have had such a rough time with family health issues. enough doom and gloom.
i have all my ingredients (i hope!) and will start cooking tomorrow. i guess that's my therapy. i'm looking forward to the smells and, of course, the eating. hoping i can share. off to the the heating pad for now :)
i slept pass my 8am med dose so the pain is pretty pronounced on this end. im going to try to have a bath in a bit if my back loosens up enough for me to get down that low. i put a new MMJ dama cartridge on my O'pen this morning. hubby seems to think that maybe the previous one was a dud and not as potent as it should have been. we will see if the new one helps any better.
be safe on your outings everyone.
Wish I could blink and make us all well.
I know we all are tired of living in pain 24/7 but try to stay positive, I don't think we mean to whine out our spouses we are just mad at having to live this way all our life's.
Stay positive and look for the good things,
Moonie wish we'd hear from you!!! Hope all is well and your both just resting up.
Seek hope you're feeling better and sleep the day and night away!
Love you all and tucking you in :)
