He's good & bad. He's a strong leader with faith ( in his Gods ) & adventure, but he's killed people that were not going to harm him, so he really didn't "need" to.
It's a great show, with excellent writing, acting, costumes & settings, but it is incredibly violent.
I have yet to see breaking bad though.
