Good morning all. I have not been here 'cause I get busy with so many other things and then the day is gone, so since I'm up early today, I'm here.
We canceled our blanket brigade this week as most of the group had a charity event they had to attend. I stayed home and had my own blanket brigade. I finished one baby blanket and started another one.
We are supposed to be having storms, but so far in the area where we live, we have not had any rain. I would like it to rain to clean the nasty smog out of the air.
Also when the storms come in Ed and I hurt all over until the rain comes down. My shoulders and arms are really bad this time around
I'm going to be on the computer probably until its time for breakfast. Turkey sausage, cheese omelet, and toast. That way I'll go to church full and won't want the cookies that they have setting out.
Everyone have a happy, pain free, warm, lovely day.

Grammagus, your breakfast sounds so yummy, what time should I be there? :) There are so many of us here that can relate to the joint pain prior to weather coming in. I hope the rains holds off long enough for you to get home from church and then let the heavens open up and clear the smog and leave a perfect temp day. Enjoy your mass today and have a relaxing pain diminished rest of the day for you and Ed.
JC, your Avi never fails to make me smile. You've done one hell of a job getting the cp group moving and from what I've seen quite a few new and positive people have really enjoyed the check In's. My hats off to you me lady for a job well done. I'm awfully glad your still around here also. I sure hope your pain diminished today and your able to have a happy go lucky relaxing day.
Serenity, Yipee on the sleep, throat, feeling better & great dream. Now that's the way to start the day. I still hope you'll continue with your plans to make a dr appt tomorrow, it can't hurt for them to run a blood panel just to make sure all is okay. I hope your moms has the enegy to come pick you up & if so I hope you have a nice time with her.
I've been hoping this cold/virus was on its way out the door, wrong. I'm back to feeling like I have the energy of an enbalmed ant and my lungs feel like I've been breathing fire. I'll have hubby go pick up some musinex today & hopefully my Dr will call in my Clindomyacin tomorrow as this Kflex even with the high dose isn't doing a whole lot but at least my legs haven't gotten any worse so that's a plus. Sleep didn't really find me much yesterday so I'm hoping it will find its way to me today.

Serenity, I'm so glad you're feeling better. You were sick for a while there. I hope you get done all you want to before the storms come in.
Lisa, I'm glad the leg isn't any worse, but that stinks that your cold is worse. Please be careful with that. A lot of people are getting pneumonia lately. That's the last thing you need. Praying you get some rest honey.
Autumn, please don't do too much today. I wish your back pain would ease up. You've been suffering way too long with that. I hope Maddie enjoys her day at dance. I used to love going to dance when I was younger.
Well I got up a little later than usual. Tired today, but thankfully, I'm nit doing much today. I'm making a half a turkey breast for dinner so tha will be an easy meal. I have to pick up my laptop and workout today. Other than that, it'll be a quiet day. We have more snow coming tonight and tomorrow. I really can't take any more friggin snow.
I hope everyone is doing better today and pray you all have a peaceful day .

Leaving in 10 minutes but wanted to clear something up from the " who's birthday is in March " .........I am NOT going to Australia. I want the party here to take place in Australia. I am not going anywhere out of a 50 mile range for this moment in time..........LOL!

sorry you had a rough morning Autum i hope the nausea lifts and youre able to enjoy Maddy's dance practices. snuggle in comfys when you get home k, and pput your feet up, you deserve to rest. enjoy your workout Mary Ellen and that yummy turkey breast. do you like cornish game hens? i like those sometimes as opposed to chicken. bake them for an hour and a half the turn on broiler to brown, yumm umm yum. now im hungry.

im reclining ALL day no ifs ands or butts. im hard headed. i thought it would be no problem going to moms but i was wrong. i even tried to stay on one level. i'll have to ease up on myself. whats done is done.
i think im superwoman sometimes. reality check. lol enough e bashing, ive learned my lesson. im going to take it real slow this next few weeks to heal better. Scott will spend the day teaching himself a few things on his laptop. hes doin research on Mac products. he wants to expand his computer repair business to include apple products so, from all his hard work recently, hes going to buy himself one just so he can learn it inside out. im so proud of him.
hes a hands on kinda guy and a jack of all trades, i mean, who can honestly say they had their hubby, computer repair guy, caregiver, goat herder, payee, surround sound set up-per, chef, pedicurist, hair trimmer, back washer, web site developer, photograper, skylight installer, dry cleaner, launder-er, woodworker, tree remover, driveway paver, trentch digger, support person,hair stylist, comedian, 32-yr sober this mar 8th, well pump repairman, seamstress, pipe defroster, therapist, PT support, OT auto mechanic, parts puller, taxi, cat- daddy furniture repairman bird feeder, fur-baby-daddy put on a new roof after rewiring the house??... man OH man

Lisa I can say I have never felt like an embalmed ant! Oh My Gosh LMAO! Not that I want you to feel like uh one? Ok how about breathing fire ants? Be very careful what you breath and take in with those symptoms and I'm being very serious! Read all instructions and warnings!

ME turkey sounds really good, throw in stuffing, a sweet potato and a piece of pecan pie and I'll be there for supper :) I don't blame you one an eyelash for being sick of that snow!

My non-existent behind was up again all night, but finally fell asleep around 6 and up at 8:30 so............a nap hopefully is in my day. This weather front hit me hard. I want to try to give Daisy Mae a bath today. It is really working she has most of her hair back She's feeling more and more like her old self!
Speaking of non-existent behinds........the area that I was given the shot stopped hurting....no pain of yesterday!!! Not worthy of a party, but maybe a Yay! LOL

mother sounded exhausted when i called at 11 and wanted to take a nap, so i'm looking at the bus schedule for today. no more dry food at all and gatorade, etc. so i'm biding my time hoping she'll call.
it's my friend eliz's birthday, so chatted a good long while as i drank tea, sucked lozenges, but it was worth it. miss her so much. we've been friends 15 years. while i was captain of a pool team, i asked her to join. we've been through thick and thin. i say this b/c this morning i found a pretty nasty 2 page letter from tina taped to my door with my key in it. so be it. i've been as accommodating as i can be. not to much to ask that someone not respect my need to rest and take care of their issues. nuff said.
yay, mother just texted that she'll be here between two and 3. yippee. i'm not going worry about dressing up. i've been in yoga pants for a week. (not the same ones!)
my list is ready, so i'll get dressed and maybe catch a little nap til she calls.

Me, I've been trying to stay busy,
I've been outside quite a bit in the last week
Yesterday we had a party for our grand daughter #1
And My folks came and finely got to meet the new granddaughter #2
Their second great granddaughter, it was nice.
For dinner we smoked a 15 lb turkey with Apple, OMG that is good!
That will be leftover dinner tonight I'm sure.
I tried to keep up with the sil out at the splitter, didn't do to well

However we did get about 4x the amount done and in half the time!
That was wonderful
And I told him how much I appreciated his help
At this point I might have enough to make it through the winter
if only it would just dry some more.

so glad to be back home with the filter and groceries. my sister's whole gang was coming back from a motocross in atlanta and took mother out to lunch, so she got to see them all. i appreciate her doing that so much.
I didn't know if I should go backwards or forwards. Think I will start at the beginning and test my memory.

GrammaG I like the idea of breakfast before to pass up cookies @ fellowship coffee time but it never worked for me. You might have more willpower. Sure know what you mean about the storm system. My head feels like it will explode and when the first raindrop falls all the pressure in my head is gone. Hope the rain comes or the storm blows away quick. Good for you on your blankets.
Mary Ellen now I want turkey. How do you get half of a turkey breast? I have my mind set on turkey and fresh cranberry relish. I have navel oranges and whole cranberries in freezer.

I am resting from an exciting weekend with oldest GD . She is really a Cupcake Wars fan and decided to be a sole competitor Saturday with the help of her grandfather . I was the lucky,chosen,judge. The cupcake was lemon with a lemon buttercream icing adorned with lemon zest. I will post in our photo gallery.
