Good morning to all. I was able to sleep all night except for the few minutes I took to walk from the bedroom to my recliner. It was so good to wake up and see that the clock said 5 am not 2 or 3. I feel pretty good this morning even with the usual morning aches and pains.
Today we are supposed to have beautiful weather, but that is why I live here in AZ.
After church the missions pastor and the praise team leader are going to have a slider eating contest. The proceeds go to the 100 club which is to help the families of fallen police and fire fighters families. We all bet on one or the other of the pastors. The Chicago Hamburger Co is sponsoring the event and providing all the food for the contest. It is only one block from my apartment so I know I will be able to hear it, but I don't plan to go.
I need to finish the cushion for my bicycle seat.

I'm so glad you got some really good sleep for a change, what a difference it makes. Oh my gosh the food contest sounds like so much fun! I'm glad you found us here where we're all friends :)
Hi E sorry you didn't get any sleep that makes for a bummer of a day. Get lots of naps in and don't forget your meds!!!!

gramagus, it sounds like you have a very interesting and fun church. i love that you're so involved. bet that bicycle seat cover is so nice!
e, i hope you've gotten a good nap. sleepless nights are no fun to say the least. how the pain is lower after you rest.
i had a wonderful visit. i think we wore dad out yesterday b/c he didn't mention wanting to get out today which is good bc my mother and i stayed in pj's, ate roast beef sandwiches, and watched some old movies oh an i painted her toenails and a bunch of other little, special things. we eventually both ending up on rice heating bags, but recovered. she helped me carry my stuff up and saw a few things i've done since the great flood. now i'm going to sit here and relax with penny. :) my mother is used to me talking about this group as a bunch of friends i hang out with (and you are!)
