After three days of clouds and rain, I am ready for some sunshine. How will I ever get used to NC.
Our television went out as well as the converter box is about shot. One of the neighbors had a television that they paid one dollar for at goodwill and it works with a better picture than the one we had. I started to take the old one out by dragging it by the cord and another neighbor came and picked it up like it was nothing to take it around back where the garbage bin is.
Good news! Ed doesn't have to go back to the neuro for 3 months. He is doing fairly well on the meds he is on right now.
On Monday I get to go fight with the VA. They billed me for visits for the last two years. Why they did not bill me for each visit as I went, is beyond me. When I was working they only billed me for meds and now they are billing me for office and ER visits. I will be there early on Monday morning when they open so I can get this settled. If I can show them it is a hardship to pay, then I won't have to or I can make monthly payments for a year.
That really doesn't help when we will have to pay the deductible on Ed's Medicare and our rent going up. I'm going for not paying it.
It is not a Sunny Sunday just because the sun is coming out, but because I have God on my side. I am so looking forward to church.
Last week I managed to make a large teddy bear for a young lady that just turned 14, and a little turtle for a young man we see at the Chinese restaurant sometimes. He is 6.

I'm so glad Ed is doing well on his medications. It's always great when we can stay away from the doctors. You shouldn't have to pay at the VA at all or so I thought. My dad goes to the VA in Florida and he loves it there because they do all the tests that are necessary and it doesn't cost him anything. All of his visits and treatments are free for him. If he goes to his doctor that's with his HMO, he has to pay, but never at the VA. I'd fighr that one Grammagus.
You have some great neighbors there. I'm glad you got a TV from someone. It would be very quiet without one. I hope you have a blessed day today. Please say a prayer for all of us. I can't get to church anymore here, but I watch it online and it's very peaceful. Have a nice day honey.
I'm just going to relax today snd make my ribs. I'll workout in the house, but that will be it for me. Of course I'll be watching the Pats play the super bowl! It should be a good game.
My hands are so numb that they're driving me nuts, so I can't type anymore. I pray everyone has a peaceful Sunday!

I'm sorry your hands are hurting so.
It's such a .. constant pain I. The a#* when your hands are like that. There's very little you can do that doesn't make you feel it. We pretty much have to use our hands.
Do you think your spine issues worsening is contributing greatly to that..
Or.. is it a neuropathy/neuralgia from somethin' else.?
( I just have rarely heard of numbness with osteoarthritis..

Going to make the fruit salad for the game day with all the Middle Eastern food.....so excited to be with people that understand my medical situation both physical and mental with all the shrinks in the room. This will be a glorious day and may the team that wins have a huge spread.

I might get out and go to Dollar General. Need a few cans of dog food, gasp the pups might revolt! Need to pick up a few things for myself to eat whatever that is. If I can get into the dentist tomorrow i'm sure not going to want to go shopping afterwards. It's yucky raining out there and doesn't do much for motivation ;(.

Gramma G. I think you will do great in a new state, talked to sister in Phoenix yesterday and 60+rain=darn cold there, she said cold comes in from mountains. I don't know. I say don't pay VA they have been so behind in your state and others in taking care of their vets. No offense Joanne because I know Washington is good. Gramma I assume you worked for them. Good news for television.
Ribs on our menu Mary Ellen and Erika. Mine are in oven. I do a dry rub. Baby backs and I don't do crockpot because I like the meat on the bone. I don't have a team. Sisters all from Seattle. One sister has a birthday on Monday and I should cheer for Hawks. Kind of like JC go for the underdog, lots of hype for the Hawks more than I have seen ever and I think it is good because they have a great fan ban base.
Toni sounds like snow is staying in Chicago.
JC I am all over the place all the time so you are in good company.
I am recording Superbowl. Hubby watching, I will watch some but later will flip through and fast forward to all the cool commercials. The opposite of what I do for television shows,

The meat fall off the bone when you do it that way. Wrapping in heavy duty foil keeps those juice in and I meat is tender and flavorful.
My son tried crockpot and he was disappointed. He said he might as well thrown a pork butt roast in there.
Good for you expanding your culinary experience, our southern heritage is ribs and anything pork.
