I recently heard a great 2007 song the other day, "Falling Slowly" because it popped up in my newsfeed, accompanied by the sad news that the male singer, Glen Hansard, just died in a motorcycle accident. True story. Small town NE of here. The last sheriff was infamous for making sure the "reduced speed ahead" and "speed limit 35" signs were actually obscured, and when you went to court to contest, oh, he'd put up a fuss!
i knwo this because the day my hubby went there to contest the ticket in court? That was the day twelve others showed up, and the judge was so sick of all these contested tickets, he'd gone out and driven that one road into town himself just to see.... and didn't, so to speak! All tickets were thrown out that day.
