I made a personal, tearful appeal to one of the ER DR.s who has always been kind to Jaimie.
He feels horrible about all that's happened to her.
He gave her enough meds .. including pain meds .. for about a month..
And is calling in a personal favor to a PM Dr friend of his to try to get her
consistent help.
I'm very grateful. She's got enough to fight without having to fight the added despair of pain.

( I hope he didn't create any trouble for himself .. it's pretty unheard of for our ER to give even a week of meds..
And .. they certainly don't make PM referrals.

Thanks, everyone who continues to send us support through messages/hugs/cards/calls ...

Our appointment for scheduling her surgery is a week from today.

Wow what a blessing is he! I never heard of anyone extending themselves this far....he's a real gift.

I wouldn't worry about any trouble for him, it would have been a friend to friend call and a choice for both....glad they both went for it.

JC, I am so happy that this wonderful man held such compassion in his heart to help. With out a doubt we need more Drs like him in this world. I hope knowing she will be a little more comfortable now will easy even a tiny sliver from the load you are carrying. Keeping you both tucked tightly in my prayers.

JC,

I am so happy for you to have found an ER doctor that is doing his job. One of my cousins is an ER doc and she said kudos to him for doing what is not only right but too many don't take into consideration what happens when the patient leaves. Find out his schedule if you need him again.

This is one of those moments in time when we can rejoice with you that one of the major hurdles is Jamie's pain is being managed.

I am with Serenity-my heart is dancing......for you and Jaime.

Such good news for Jaime. Non of us should have to endure treatable pain. You are so lucky to have had such a compassionate er dr. I hope things pan out with this new pm. You, Jaime, and the rest of your family are in my heart and prayers.

JC you must feel a sense of relief, even if it is for a wee while. I hope the PM comes through and takes Jaimie under their wing. You have been incredibly strong for so long. And Jaimie has too. This ER Dr is an angel and make such an impact. What an amazing soul. Rest well and fingers crossed you are getting some decent sleep too. Sweet dreams to you both.
