I have learnt I have to relax, through meditation techniques, and then calm things down by concentrating on breathing, and appreciate it's not the breathing that's causing the issue.. Awww hope that makes some sort of sense.. I get really worried because of my previous lung conditions and issues... gets freaky...
I Don't like it.... Then the Biggest issue is taking my larger type meds after / during it , I really struggle to swallow them...
Hopes you get some answers n ultimately some help and relief... Thinking of you.. n sending wishes Mate..

Thanks for the input. I just dont think my GIT is working at 100%. It seems to reason. For example, my aunt had two strokes. After the second stroke she was unable to swallow. So the link between stroke and being able to swallow seems rather clear to me. Givin that I have had two TIA's in the last year is it remotely possible that there was SOME damage done but not enough to debilitate me? Well hell yeah. MY GP is rather useless I will need to see a GI doc.
Rags to riches, A to Z, woman to man, I beleive in another 60 seconds I was gone. We know our own bodies right? All I did was eat a cookie and have a sip of water. Wth?
Erica- Is your episodes the same as I described? How do you fix it? I felt like a person choking at a restaurant holding their hands up but there was no food to dislodge. Like being suffocated. I will get to a GI and hopefully get some answers
Seek- I have it nearly every day also but this was an extreme case of it. Normally just struggle to get the gas out but this was really scary. I will let you know if I learn anything. I also cannot swallow big pills, the doc says I have a very small throat opening. well no kidding doc, what is the solution???
Blaine- I read the article but couldnt find anything for sure. I guess I will try googling burp and choking and see what I can find.
Thanks Minnie also.
So nice to be with people that understand.....

my mother nearly choked and had to be rushed to the ER to have a small piece of food removed. she's had to go through esophogeal stretching several times since.
or it could be what buff found, too. just get evaluated!
question...do you have a sour taste in your mouth when you wake up?
i hope it doesnt happen again.
I'm so sorry this happened to you and is still happening. I don't know anything about it so I don't have any suggestions. I do know my dad has problems swallowing rice so he can't eat that any more. He chokes badly on that.
With regards to large pills, I put them in applesauce and swallow them with that as it makes it easier for me to get my medication down without choking on the large pills.
I'm glad you're going to see a GI dr. Hopefully they can help. I'm sorry you are dealing with this at all.
Erika, I didn't know you dealt with this too. God bless you as well. I don't know how you do it.
Seek, I'm sorry you're dealing with this too. My God, there's got to be something to help this if you all are dealing with it. How scary it must be for you guys.
I'm keeping you all in my prayers.
Love and hugs,
Xoxoxo

Get to the GI doc! In the meantime small bites and chew them well! Drink plenty of fluids throughout the day.
Hugs and no choking!
If you've not been checked for Barrets..I suggest you insist on it with your DR.
( I only happen to know this, because I've been on my husbands case about it.
They used to say " heartburn can't kill you"
Turns out, for men, especially.. that's not the case.
Get checked.
Hugs
