Make funny faces at the drivers that are following from the back window. or should I post about stuff I did when I was a kid and not as an adult? Although my wife could probably bring up many, many, many ,many and even more many many many good reasons as as to why she feels that I have yet to reach that stage in life...

One more guy thing, place sausages in bundles of 3, with 3 to 4 bundles running lengthways. Wrap well with tin foil and suspend with wire slightly slightly above the engines exhaust manifold. Turn 1 third every 45 miles as not to bun them, In approx 130 miles, just pop the hood and lunch is served! Cooking mileage may vary depending on engine size. Baked and scallop potatoes also work well with this method.

I am almost in tears laughing, WB, b/c 1. I am nearly in tears anyway and 2. that is how my dad traveled on the big fam outing trips for hunting, fishing and camping---when it was him, his brothers, my male cousin, and *me*! And then my hubby wonders why I don't get too shocked? Travel to Ontario from where I grew up with three drunk adult men (one driving), cooking hotdogs and kielbase via the engine, etc., leaving my cousin and my vegetarian self to mostly just pray we'd get there and back safely.... Note: Neither he nor I grew up to eat meat or drink alcohol. Hmmm, wonder why!

WB, I can't laugh---Hubby did fall asleep once. If not for "rumble strips" we'd be toasted... *shiver*

Road trips also are great times for crossword puzzles --- if you aren't driving!

Oh, and channel-surfing on the radio. A serious must-have on any road trip!
