I am waiting to see if a blood clot is causing my numb leg and then surgery. I will keep you in my prayers and heart.

Hope you are fixed up for your next refill and it you need a med change you should let them know at your next appointment. Talk to them about your pain. Let them know if it is with you all the time or if you have a certain time it flares. A good PM doctor will find a way to manage, not remove all, but manage your pain. A level 5 is the best I get but I can live with that and my expectations are no higher.
Hugs my friend
Hmm maybe some Xanax or other techniques when your stress levels go thru the roof would help also. Not being snarky.....stress increases our pain levels and makes those meds less effective.
The past couple of days I've been where you are and yet I'm working on calming myself. When my pain is this high....pain meds don't work.
Many hugs of comfort

I hope you have low pain this weekend.
Gentle hugs.
Thanks all for replies and support. My wife was researching and found you are NOT supposed yo go off this medication for any reason cold turkey nor try and squirrel any away. But the PM doesnt care. Im just a number.
They treated me right at the hospital because its the same hospital where i had my brain hemorraghe 4 years ago and they had 14 doctors and nurses from on call working on me at 3am. It is an easy lookup for them.
As far as the xanax goes i have plenty. I took 2 at 8am yesterday. It bought me two hours. Fell asleep only to wake up in excrutiating pain that was unbearable and necessitated an immediate drive to ER.
Doing a little better today, thank you all. What is increasing my pain is now doing two peoples jobs for 13 months. A whole nother post. I had a talk with my boss wednesday. Told her that i was wondering if they were looking at getting me some help. She said yes ppl will try and pitch in internally. So i said to her that while i am 100 percent healthy (a total lie) and able to do my job, the current call volume does make worse my current documented disability of chronic and severe headache. Wanna know what her answer was????
She said but you have no medical restrictions right? R u frigging kidding me
Disgusting greedy rotten bastards!

What part did i say that you thought was wrong?
Martin?
i always hope for the best with your situation. hugs
I always appreciate your feedback, no worries. The 100% thing is a long story, but with my company if you indicate that you are less than 100%, they look to get rid of you. It happened to my friend with fibro. She mentioned fibro and her physical challenges and two weeks later she was gone.
I think i said i was fully capable of doing my job, but the extra workload since they fired my co-worker was not helping my condition. I Am leaning towards disability, i know its hard to get but 95% of the ppl with my condition dont work.
My company is small 40+ so they dont have to offer FMLA,. But i knew what you meant, you do have to be careful what you say. Rock and hard place describes it well.
