I think in spite of your fears you have a remarkable outlook on life. You don't cower from them.....you face them straight on.......that takes a lot of strength, acknowledge that part of yourself........you deserve it!

I like your post. It is very positive and uplifting.
For me, everyday I have to choose to find the positive. We are the director of our future by the choices we make.
You have chosen to have hope and a positive attitude today. With that, you will have a good day, yes because you can do all things through Christ. But also, because yesterday is gone, tomorrow may never come, so we have today. And today will be positive, because I will react positive to this day and the events of today.
Remember if you get the job or not is not the key, it is how you chose to react. I always remind myself of the song about "Unanswered Prayers". Sometimes what we think we want, may not be the best choice. I do everything on my side to accomplish what I need, then I turn it all over to God.
Hope and pray that you had a wonderful day, with many positive moments.

I hope your interview went well and you get the job. Either way you've already won by changing your outlook on life. Sheesh where are my manners, I didn't even introduce myself. So...Hi, my name is Lisa and its a pleasure to meet you. You'll find I'm the one that usually writes the short posts....cough, cough, giggle, giggle, so not true lol! Seriously, I do look forward to getting to know you. I hope by now your sound asleep and having the sweetest of dreams.
Love, hugs & blessings,
Lisa
The interview was great! Thanks to God.
During an hour I was answering many questions from the Human Resources Director.
At the beginning, I felt a little nervous, but after some minutes I relaxed.
She told me they will consider my application and will let me know if I get the job.
I think every was great, however and honestly, I was surprised about myself cause I could answer many technical questions very well and fast, but when she asked me about my three main achievements I couldn't answer quickly, I had to take time to think and answer. Can you believe it?
During my career for sure I have gotten some really important achievements... why aren't they clearly in my mind as the technical things? How is possible people can remember their failures more than their victories?
From now, I decided to feel proud of my achievements and keep them in mind, reminding myself I can be a
really successful person in all areas of my life...even in love...why not?
Have a wonderful day :-)
Marge
I wouldn't worry too much about the wait on answering your three main achievements, it shows you gave it careful thought about what is important to you.

Hey come and join us on our morning/evening check in :)
Funny, I am also very good on technical, but asking about myself is very hard to answer. In my mind, stating something as my achievement is too prideful. But as an employer, it is a question that I do ask people that I interview. When the question is asked it is looking at what you are bringing to the job, as strong points, successes that you can repeat and improve on. As an employer, evaluating the answer has nothing to do with the interviewee being too proud, it has to do with qualifications.
Never looked at it from both sides before. Funny the games our mind can play on us. I am starting a journal on "My Positive Journey". I think I will add a section on achievements, and find the ones that I can build on to improve my quality of life. Your post definitely brings out interesting thoughts and questions.
You asked why we remember our failures better than our achievements -- my best guess is it has to do with the fear. Not wanting to chance being embarrassed.
I love your last statement, "..feel proud of my achievements and keep them in mind, reminding myself I can be a really successful person in all areas of my life..." With that statement you have succeeded and won the hardest battle, "Positive thinking and believing in yourself!"
Wow, put sticky notes all over your house, saying: Winner!!! Achiever!!! Go Getter!!! No Fear!!! Positive Attitude rules!!!
You are Awesome! Have a great day.
