He He,... during the day, they look identical to a tree brach with their camouflaged feathers... they sleep all day,... and hunt silently at night,..n wow,.. they are so quiet in flight..
Awww....... They are so cool.... I ,. hand reared one as a kid, he fell out of a tree in a storm as a hatchling, n almost died.. (Sigh, he was so tiny with no feathers).. the nest and tree were destroyed and couldn't put him back up in a tree..
Spent all of my free time trying to catch insects n critters for him to eat.. taught him how to fly n hunt ..and we finally got to release him as a feathery teenager. in the local National Park... .I liked my Frogmouth friend... I did,... 8-)
