Mash? huh? I don't think I've missed a show and I can't remember every hearing that. Now i'll have to listen won't I? oh that was what Colonel Sherman said after he wrote in his memoirs isn't it! bingo the memory kicked in!

Cool, didn't know that and I use to walk Mash all the time.

Actually,t he last line of MASH on the finale was "Good-bye".... written out in rocks so Hawkeye could see it, as a farewell from best bud BJ Hunnicutt. Last spoken words I think were "Good-bye, Margaret".... But I always think of hte last words as that good-bye in rocks....

That finale makes me cry to this day.... The bittersweet parting of wartime comrades... Whoop, there I go!

What the heck was I thinking? Margaret was the dr! She ran to tell him good-bye and his "good-bye M." was the final spoken words.

the finale gets to me too Leo. This is one of my all time fav shows. they don't make them like they use too.

i think this had the highest viewing audience of any final episode. i thought margaret "hot lips" was the nurse they had tormented. that was one of the best last episodes ever!

Head Nurse Major Margaret Houlihan was the last to say good-bye verbally to Hawkeye Pierce, then he saw as he flew away the Good-Bye spelled out in rocks from BJ.... a tribute to the episode where, earlier in the series, Hawekeye's best friend Trapper John had left without saying good-bye.

It was one of the only shows I was allowed to watch as a kid, can you tell?
