Honestly..
I don't believe.. at all.. that it's cancer.
.. that's really not just denial..
This Dr in unaware of all that has gone on in th e last six years.
And.. all of the tests I HAVE had.
I kinda get her jumping to that..
Because she wants me to follow up...
I just wish my husband wasn't there..
So I could just keep focusing on getting this dang pain under control

Really, Buds..
I think it would be hard for the big C to have snuck through all the procedures I had

Well I'm glad it's not a back fracture because that's very painful, although you're in a lot of pain now. I know you're tired of being poked and prodded, but if somethingcan be ddone to help you, once they figure out what's wrong, it might make it all worthwhile. Miracles do happen my friend!

Aw man this means you have a NYs resolution, you have to get those tests done and however it comes out we'll be here.

Have you tried anti-seizure meds for your pain? I'm on heavy duty Topamax and lamictal along with my Percocet and it does help like nothing before it. I'm more of a zombie but someone has to do it! Maybe someone else has some ideas? otherwise all I can think is to back off of what you're on and creeps back up...........yikes!

I was thinking just this evening..
I want to ask my PM if she'll try upping the fiorinol.
She originally gave it to me for the headache I got when they punctured my spine..
But...I'm more and more convinced that it helps with neuralgia and neuropathy.
( I'm pretty sure it's in the same family as anti-seizure meds.

Anyway..it won't hurt to ask to give it a shot.
I just have to have it minus te caffeine..
Cause that can get me jumpy

..I hope I remember to bring that up.

Hi JC, I would push for a Cat scan with & without dye contrast to make sure there is no fracture. Three of my back surgeries were because of my insisting there was something wrong when X-rays said otherwise. You know your body best, trust your instincts & in this case I hope it's a easily fixable fracture rather than cancer. Sending prayers and gentle hugs.

I agree I don't see it as cancer, it wouldn't be going on for six years. I don't know why drs say that, they need to be positive. I think there is a (fibro fog) the blood test PSA test or something they can do which might indicate cancer. I know I had them before I had my hysterectomy check on the ovarian growth.

I agree an xray doesn't show everything. I went to an ortho want with back pain, they took an xray and said my back didn't look bad. Had a catscan with dye to check out internal organs and when I got a copy of it from the hosp it said down below severe DDD. Go figure, the gastro didn't tell me that and xray the ortho took didn't show Severe DDD. Makes me wonder about all that money we spend on tests and the drs that don't relay the resutts just cause it doesn't pertain to a stomach problem.

If you get a cat scan, be sure to get a copy of the results. For me, I just went to the hosp, signed a paper and got a copy of all test they did. My dr didn't have to give approval they are my test.
