mother told me of yet another unacceptable incident at the nursing home. as i cooked the soup which turned out quite good, i read the other regulations i got from the ombudsman over 600 pages. i just took notes on which reg #. i gave charlie and claire some soup, too. there was plenty.
allergies and draining sinuses. i think i'll have to sleep on two pillows while the heat is on. i finally found my sinus med, so that'll help.
just taking it easy today.
wishing all a safe and low pain day...more nasty weather seems to hitting everywhere.
I'm sitting at the rheumatologist waiting to be called in. Hope it is quick today as I have a work meeting at 10:00. Just my 3 month checkup, bloodwork and injection. Scared of the scale this morning, I know I haven't lost the gabapentin weight (12 lbs). Sigh!!
Grammagus, I think it's great that you are making all those critters to give away. I'm sure they will be so appreciated. Glad that Ed is showing improvement!! Nice to see you this morning.
Serenity, I really hate that you are constantly dealing with the unacceptable care at the home. Hope you get some relaxation today.
Got called back to the exam room. Have a good day everyone.
Hugs, Vicky
Grammagus, God Bless you honey for doing all those animals for those children. They'll all be so happy to have one of your creations. I think I'm going to try and start doing more of it. I had stopped because of my fingers hurting so badly with the arthritis as well, but I miss it. I'm so happy Ed's medication is working well for him. That's so good to hear.
Serenity, I'm glad you got to make your soup made and hopefully a little rest in between all of the research you've been doing for your dad on all the problems he's having at that home. I pray things improve soon. I hope you can get some rest today honey.
Well I finally got out yesterday snd got dome fruits anyway. Today I'll hit the food store and do my big shop. Sunday's are not the day to do that. I did get my crock pot Serenity, but haven't made anything in it yet. I've been looking for different recipies and trying to figure which one to try first. I think it will be a soup because we have a Northeaster coming here tomorrow and it's ony 20º today. Brrrr I hate this cold weather.
I pray everyone has a low pain day with low stress as well.
Love and hugs,

Sigh,.. Poor Ol'e Mr Phomphrey dropped like a stone and fitted when I open the roller door. late this afternoon.. poor old chap seems to re-act to certain sounds and has a epilepsy seizure?? I comfort him through and after 30 mins or so,, he's eating and totally sparkly again.. Awwww,.... He's 19 and I don't know what is in his best interest.... 8-(
Sorry I have been away for a few days but last week was just so crazy at work and rather painful. Like chinese water torture. All of our clients are calling and trying to get a loan before Christmas. And of course they want it NOW. Every time I tried to check in here some jackhole called with one problem or another.
I laid in bed Saturday all dayand night. Never got dressed. yesterday I went to play poker. Damned if I didnt have good luck. I won $1100. The poker gods were on my side. Just good luck. So I am sending $50 to each of my 12 nieces and nephews for Xmas. Money means nothing to me. It is a source of many evils in the world. Anybody want to be an adopted niece of mine? tee hee hee
Gram-Sorry about your athritis. You are so strong. Mine is coming I am afraid
Seren-sorry about nursing home. It saddens me so much. I hope dad is ok
Vicky. Hope doc goes ok. I know about the weight too. I got on the scale today and it read "GET OFF, YOU TOO HEAVY< GO ON DIET." Lousy so and so
Mary Ellen- Well your picture put a smile on my face today. You and the waves! I need some sunshine.I have to shop today. Im out of 3 important things. Coke, shaving cream and TUMS. Cant survive without either of them.
Toni- You would need a ten foot pole! tee hee hee
So oh happy day to everyone that follows.
Martini
Grammagus, Happiness is Ed's medication working and helping him. The children at church will appreciate your wonderfully giving heart.
Serenity-This is inferiorating the incidents at the nursing home. You Dad is fortunate you care enough to make sure of his care. Love sharing soup.
Vicky-Good luck on your check up. Mine is in 3 weeks at the rheumy. I don't like the weight from the gabapentin and then the prednisone. Wishing for you it starts falling off!
Mary Ellen-Bundle up against that Northeaster with some soup you have made from your grocery shopping. There are so many good recipes I know you will find a favorite.
Seekn1-You are such a sweet dear daddy to Mr. Phomphrey. He will let you know when it time and you will have peace. We fur baby Mom and Dad's have been through this and we have your heart in ours. A good flipper day for you.
Martini-Coke, shaving cream and tums Interesting survival kit! Son/hubby changed from tums to prevacid and they too never without. You are such a kind Uncle to share your winnings. You made a true statement about money and evil. You do good and I applaud you. I can send my info Uncle Martini.
We visited another float home yesterday but hubby was so sick with the gastritis he couldn't view. It meets 99% of our needs and 75% of our wants. The only problem the 1st floor ceilings are low. Perhaps when it is removed we will then have more headroom. We shall see. I rush into nothing but a burning house to rescue the fur babies as all the humans have left.
Body is going to let me know what I am allowed to do with it today. I will listen.
Hugs, Love, Low Pain,
Joanne
Grammagus woo hoo you're half way there! I bet your hands are hurting that's a lot of crocheting. So glad Ed is doing better.
Serenity onward dutiful daughter! sigh... glad your soup came out good, I didn't have any doubt. Hope you get those sinuses cleared up :)
Vicky hope your appt. went well. Neurotonin and the weight gain! Seems to be the biggest complaint, ugh! Hope your weekend was a good one!
ME I hope this means you're feeling better. Don't you know everyone was suppose to make soup yesterday LOL! Seems like everyone was anyways. Glad you found you a crockpot!
Seek I saw you were enjoying your new car. Hmm no fair you can't drive it, that would drive me crazy! I know you worry so much about Mr P, but if he's eating and moving around don't give up on him. His time will come and you will know you gave him all that you did :)
Martin better be glad for those customers, they give you your job! Why do I enjoy giving you a hard time so much?! hahaha Really i'm sure you can't get a moment to breath right now, glad you got some rest this weekend. Yay on the big win! Yeah right!!!
I need to get labs done, dogs meds and my meds filled. but............I felt a little yuckish Saturday and yesterday afternoon hit me big time. I don't know if I picked up a bug at the doc's office or at the service. Hoping I feel better so I can go get these things done, if not tomorrow will come.
Mucho Love and Hugs!
Grammagus, glad Ed's new med is improving Ed's personality, especially since you mention he can be trying at times. Happy crocheting!
Serenity, I can't imagine what else that nursing home is doing now. When is your rescheduled meeting? Is there anything more painful than sinus problems? I know there are but when I'm having a sinus headache, it doesn't feel like there is! Stay warm today and I hope those meds knock it out!
Vicky, I hope your appointment goes well today. You're lucky. I watched a woman gain 40 lbs in 6 weeks, no kidding! Of course that's not the norm. Fingers crossed that you make your 10;00 meeting! Have a good day sweetie!
ME, I'm glad you're feeling better today. Get that crockpot going. I'm "smoking" a chicken in mine tonight.
Stay warm today girlfriend. Hugs. xoxo
Seek, I'm so sorry about Mr P. Does he take anti-seizure meds? It's so difficult to make the call when it comes to our nearest and dearest. I hope he stays sparkly for a long time to come. Good evening!
Martini, dang! $1100? How many guys usually play? Well, I'm glad you won. I hope you enjoyed the peace and relaxation. If you're in the loan business, I won't tell you to have a good day. People everywhere are tight for money right before Christmas. Hugs
Joanne, so this float home could be the one? Poor Mario. Gastritis is one nasty customer. I hope you stay home and relax today so you can recharge. Even the Energizer bunny needs to rest sometimes!
The merry maids have come and gone. They needed to clean the office right before I got to the end of the check in so there was a delay. I wasn't on yesterday because I had a bug. I woke up Sunday morning at 4AM due to a wildfire in my lower stomach. I ran to the BR a few times. I was just weak yesterday so I know what you mean Joanne, about Mario. There is a nasty stomach virus running around the good 'ol USA right now. I hope this wasn't practice for the real deal. The only things I'm waiting for via mail is the rest of Hal's Christmas presents and I'm D O N E.
I hope everyone has a manageable, warm day!
Hugs,
Dianna
going to run a few errands. i hope the day gets better for you all. much love, e
ME, i saw your area was really getting hit with the cold and the rain. a nice soup will warm you up. i love smelling it cook, too. i hope you find one you really enjoy. easy does with the food shopping. groceries get so heavy.
poor seek and mr p. wow, that sounds so scary. i hope he's ok. sweet dreams.
wow, martin, you have skills on the poker table! good score and nice way to share it!
moonie, the right floating house will show up. glad you're not rushing it. hope your body was kind to you today.
toni, i hope you did rest up today. i had something similar a couple weeks ago and just slept and slept and took alka seltzer cold.
minnie, glad the kids made it through. looking forward to see your angels!
e, i'd be pretty ticked off, too. this happens so much. that's not professional. can you transfer to anyone else or like you said work out a better day. consistency is important in therapy.
penny and i have both slept a lot today. i wish i'd saved a little more soup. i've only had two small bowls today and there are just a couple of spoonfuls...oops. mother talked to the head nurse this morning. i guess she just wanted to get it off her chest and it sounds like she did. later this week i still think i'll write the ombudsman until they get this crap done by the book.
take it easy all. hope the rest of your day is smooth and low pain.
looking forward to tonights football game gooo greenbay lol enjoy your evening everyone
