I would buy a city block long apartment building for all my friends here. They would have maids and their own chef, choice on how to decorate and furniture of their choice! It would be in a gated community. And I would furnish all the coffee and tea that we would all share on the promenade.

I'd buy a massive estate - plenty of land, nice house for myself and another house a ways away for my parents so they have a nice place too that's nearby but just far enough that we're not annoying each other. Plenty of room for dogs to roam so I'd adopt a few fur babies, maybe run an animal shelter from my own back yard... course with so much space I'd need all new furniture and also staff to take care of the place because lord knows I wouldn't have the stamina to keep up with it all by myself.

Once I had my parents and myself situated and well appointed for the foreseeable future, I'd put money towards buying and fixing up houses that have fallen into disrepair and then utilize them as homeless sheltering and maybe buy some larger event size spaces for free buffets for the hungry and needy. Then depending on how much money is left, I think I'd fund fibromyalgia research and long term care facilities for mental illness. That's probably more than a couple million dollars will stretch but it's not like I'm likely to suddenly have such a big windfall overnight anyway so... one can dream...
