I was asked to do a special baby blanket for a friend of the pastor so I worked very hard to get it done. I was asked on Wednesday afternoon and I delivered it to Pastor Rodger yesterday at church. It is for a baby that is in the NICU at a local hospital. She will be okay, but will be in the hospital for awhile. He thought it would be a good way to start an outreach conversation. The mother to the baby works at Starbucks where he gets his morning coffee.
Yes, my hand is still in pain, but it was worth every ache and pain and that baby got a lot of prayers as I crocheted her little blanket.
I was honored to be asked to do it by someone that I admire as another crocheter. She said she chose me as she knows that I am very quick with my fingers.
We are having a lot of monsoon storms and Ed is sleeping a lot. If he is not sleeping he is in a lot of pain and grumpy. I will be glad when the monsoon season is over. The high temps and high humidity get to me after about a week and we have about another month of this. ICK
My daughter that lives in NC will be coming to visit in NC will be coming out in October. I can hardly wait to see her. It has been six years so we have a lot to catch up on.
