Good morning all. Yesterday I came down with a bad
cold. Everyone has had a cold except my daughter.
I finished Brandon's monkey and today I will finish Savannah's
horse if Ricky will leave me alone. He likes to play with the yarn.

We had our family get together yesterday, it wa very nice and had a good time. To bad we have to pay for it with suffering the next day,
The grandbabies were fun to watch and so much love. I have a one year old granddaughter and when she toddles over to me smiling with her arms out, I have to pick her up. Of course, this morning I woke up with my spine and headache from hell. Trouble is I can't take anything for inflammation,
I took a tramadol and it helped a little, I have told doctors before about what things like Aleve, aspirin any thing for inflammation gives me floaters in my eyes, the doctors never have a suggestion, my retina suggested said maybe once in a while but to me not worth it, I already lost my eye sight in one eye and so don't want to risk going blind.
I read a medical article one about people who take a baby aspirin everyday has a chance of developing macular degeneration. I don't know if it's cause my retinas are thin but I do get floaters when I take Aleve or even after taking ciprofloxin for sometime,
The pharmacist ask what I take and I told him cold compresses and stretching, but have to wait it out, then tramadol take edge off.,I have tried eating foods that helped with inflammation and avoid food that causes inflammation but doesn't help when only time I have inflammation. Is when I pick up the grandbabies or overdo.
Any suggestions would be appreciated thanks,
grammagus, sorry the cold hit you now. i bet the grandkids will enjoy their animals for years! how much longer will your visit be? is everyone taking care of ed? i bet he misses you sooo much.
despite all the rest yesterday i slept well last night. busy dreams, but not creepy.the clouds have set in, but they lowered the chances for rain. i hope the bicyclists and bbqers can have a dry day. the course for the bikers is rough. i used to bike all over this town, so i feel for them, but these are pros.
no clue on any plans today. maybe cook some burgers on the stove?

Grammagus, I'm so sorry you came down with a cold. Hopefully if you load up on Vitamin C & zinc it will shorten the duration. I'll bet the little ones are loving the animals you made for them. Are you having a good time there? Now that you've been there awhile do you still want to move there? It must be so nice being around all your family and grandkids. I hope you'll be able to rest today. Feel better soon.
Magic, sorry your hurting. I'm glad you had such a nice time yesterday. Though it causes you pain it had to be so uplifting when the little ones come toddling towards you. Have you ever asked your opthomologist for suggestion on what might work for inflammation without causing floaters? Just a thought. I hope you'll be able to relax today. When the pain hits try remembering your granddaughter toddling towards you with arms outstretched. Hopefully that memory will make the pain a little easier to handle.
It's a perfect sleeping day here as its overcast and drizzling a perfect day to stay cuddled up in the covers. Poor hubby I woke him up at 5:10 and said hurry you need to get up or your going to be late for work lol! And "here's my sign" lol!! He wasn't all that amused that I thought it was Tuesday teehe! I have pt tomorrow with Tammy and if this foot keeps up with increasing pain levels I'll make an appt with my ortho as he's just down the hall from her. I tell ya I'd much rather have a broken ankle again, but watcha gonna do, this too will hopefully pass quickly.
On this Memorial Day prayers going out to all the men and women who serve so that we may enjoy are freedom. Extra prayers for those who paid the ultimate price and for their families along with all who are having an extra tough time here right now. I hope everyone enjoys their day and levels all the way around stay manageable.

thunder woke me up around 3am. we need the rain i just am scared of the dangerous possible fire hazard of lightening. ooooweee big clap! yikes!! im such a big baby.i did a number on myself last night. im so hard on myself. i know this yet i continue on with such destructive actions .honestly i dont know if i will ever change.

i appreciate the suggestion. i did have a george foreman grill in nyc, but it just didn't make it here. i have so little counter space and storage that i just can't get one now, but i did love mine. when i look at online apt floor plans you know the first room is always the kitchen!

Erika, I'm sorry you had a rough night last night. Please don't be to hard on yourself. I hope the thunderstorms pass quickly so you can kick back and relax. I hope today is a better one for you.

Sorry you and the family got colds Grammagus, hope you all recover soon. I bet the little ones love Grandma's toys to them, hmm sounds like a ball of yarn might be the gift for Ricky though!
Magic so glad you had a good time at the get together. I haven't been able to pick up the little ones or anything over 7-10 lbs for years. Ask someone to place them in your lap for you! You are suppose to enjoy them not suffer for it!

LOL Lisa too funny! Ok like you said not for hubby...but we won't tell ;). Routines huh? Don't go around wishing for broken ankles....it just might happen :(. It's going to hurt before it feels better, keep icing it but don't over do.
Seek yippee on a sparkling clean home! No cobwebs or dust bunnies! What a job and whew hard when you have jumbo feet. I hope by not owning it they make good repairs. Buying mine and that's the hard part. Sending you a belly dancer to help make you feel a little better ;)

It rained buckets here last night. I didn't even know it was until I went to take Taco out. 47 Ronin turned out to be hmm a 3 out of 5, not bad. Turned out to be a true story and they did kick butt.
Nothing unusual going on around here today. Not sure what's been going on, but keep getting a lot of burning still.....thankfully not as bad as those 2 days though. Med change shouldn't have a thing to do with it by now so......weather fronts? Oh well this too I will survive!
