Hal & I were always athletic. Until I was about 36, I played fast pitch softball. When Hal was in Korea, I played shortstop on the top team in San Diego. I had quite a few raspberries, etc. Hal coached both Katy and Lil' Hal in baseball for 8 yrs. Actually Katy played baseball for one season, then moved to girl's softball. They were also league bowlers for 10 yrs.

We went to bowling tournaments, softball games and baseball games all over Texas. My favorite softball to watch was when Hal and our son played on the same team. It was epic! We wouldln't have missed it for the world. It's a good thing Hal & I met on a softball diamond where he played 3rd base and I played SS. We were friends long before lovers. When all is said and done, it's the friendship that has made us such good companions. If I was stuck on a desert island, he's the one I would choose to be stuck with.
