Omg, I too am speechless. She & I shared some wonderful pm conversations. I hate this about the Internet. It reminds me of when Sandy passed on the cp board. Your or I guess I should just speak for myself. I'm left with profound sadness and loss. It's not like we could go to a funeral, express condolances to family member...... Just to grieve in a "normal" matter if there is such a thing.

It makes me think often of our beloved MIA's, are they still "with us" or are they just being quiet. I know aninimity is the reason many come to sites like DS, but when you have break off groups like ours I wish we could have some sort of "check on" system. A system in which those are comfortable doing so would give their ph# to and assigned person & maybe a backup one as well, so that when someone hasn't popped in say for 3 or 4 days the assigned person could call just to touch base and make sure all is ok and remind them were all here to support and hold them up.

I'm sorry for the little rant, it breaks my heart for so many, many reasons. May she rest in peace now. Free from the pain and the constraints ines body puts on us when dealing with cp. Sending up prayers for her family for comfort and strength.

hiero, i miss you and will always hold our friendship close.

I've been crying over this since I heard. I treasured her and our friendship. She was always so supportive of others, even though she was going through some of the hardest struggles herself. When she got so sick that she couldn't go out anymore, it really got to her as well it would for any of us. Her husband was very supportive and she loved him dearly. Hieroglyph, you will be missed dearly by me and other on this board and others.

Thank you for letting us know. It is difficult to lose someone that has touched everyone on here in this format. Not to be able to be present for grieving is the most difficult of all......she will always be where the sun is shining, the birds are singing and the fairies are playing........

I just read thru this msg's. I'm Deana's (Heiro's) bf/so, Gene. I posted the news about Deana's death in the Crohn's disease forum, as I was not sure what other groups she posted too. I'm going to share these comments with family, they are wonderful. Some of you have requested more information. More will be forthcoming. But if you read my post to the other board, Deana got one of her most cherished wishes, and that was to have a green funeral. Only 3 weeks prior to her death, a local cemetery offered that option. Deana got her wish, and she is buried in a beautiful forest, she is a few dozen yards from the edge, which opens onto a field. She is facing the sun/moon rise.
