i know just what you mean with the buses. i'm glad you an ed treated yourselves to your favorite chinese. you're so close with your animals i bet you will keep going with the blankets. the giving spirit really does make the season. i hope you do treat yourself to a few things!
i gave a plate of brownies to tina yesterday and a few other gifts. she was very excited and loved the brownies. we had a really good chat. my friend dave sent me the final rough cut of his golf show and it looks really good. i think he can sell it. fingers crossed. charlie is leaving today, so i gave him his goodies
i'm more psyched about packing our picnic and celebrating early Christmas with my dad. i'll start packing today and do more baking.
wishing all the best day possible and some good holiday spirit. hugs!!
Grammagus, I am so happy for you. I'm glad you and Ed were able to enjoy a nice lunch out. Way to rock on your animals! I hope you two have a wonderful shopping trip today. Enjoy treating yourself to something special.
Serenity, bless your heart for sharing your brownies & gifts with Tina. I'm glad the two of you had a nice time togather. I'll bet your picnic basket will be filled with many goodies. There's something about a picnic that makes the food taste yummier. Enjoy your time baking and packing, please pace yourself so your good to go.
Well, yesterday was a bust. I made it through two bags of clothes this morning then legs gave out and back pain soared...sigh. I'll make the fudge tonight when hubby's home so he can help stir & lift the pan for me. Thankfully each double batch only takes 20-25 min to make. The plan is three double batches (18lbs) each double makes a large cookie sheet & a 9x13. Once chilled I'll fill the tins. I'll probably make one more double over the weekend for my dad, he loves it & refuses to share lol! Well I'm off to ice up and pray for a miracle.
Hoping all have a day that special memories are made of!
Hugs & God Bless
Lisa
I couldn't be more excited to get through today... 2 whole weeks off work! WOOOHOOO!
Grammagus, your little crocheted animals are so cute. I know the recipients will love them and the love you put into making them. I hope you do treat yourself to something nice!
Serenity, it sounds like you've been busy! I'm sure everyone enjoyed your goodies. When do you leave for your road trip?
Lisa, sorry to hear you didn't get everything accomplished you hoped to yesterday. I've come to accept that as a way of life now. You are making me want fudge! Please send some by carrier pigeon.
Have a great day everyone!
Love and hugs, Vicky
bout to be dropped off at my friends while hubby goes to eye dr. he will wait there for an hour or three while his eyes adjust back to normal from the dialation. then we will go to moms...the boys will stay n watch movies while mom n me go shopping...no 11 stores this time thats for sure. you all have a wonderful day, much love n hugs.
Grammagus, oh Lord, the dreadful bus ride! I'm glad you & Ed got to have your favorite meal. Good for you on buying a few Christmas gifts for yourself. Giving makes me feel good because that's what the holiday is all about!
Serenity, you and I are a couple of baking fools, lol! Enjoy your awesome (has to be if you're making it) picnic with your parents! And how sweet are you to give brownies to Tina. You are a good friend indeed. Hugs
Lisa, glad you got through some of the clothes. We told you it would kill your back but you didn't listen. You &I are so much alike that way. That fudge making will cost you, spoon wise. I'll send you any spare onesI have. You are such a good person to do all that fudge making. Hugs and please take it easy today to prepare for it.
Vicky, I'm excited for you! I'll be counting down the hours along with you!
Well, yesterday I gave Roxy an introduction to Jack. It went well until Roxy hissed and growled. Then Jack did. More time will be needed. Bearing in mind that it was an adult cat that, most likely, that left bites all over her, this will be a slow process.
It took 45 minutes standing on my feet and stirring constantly stirring to get the peanut brittle done. Ther was a time or two when I almost had to quit because my hand was losing strength but I soldiered through. This batch was for Katy's work Christmas party. Next week I'll do it again for Hal's. Until then, I'll rest up. 6 days left until Christmas!
I hope everyone has a great weekend and take it easy today Lisa!
Hugs,
Dianna
Gram I do hope you have gotten some sleep.
You are so kind to Ed, and giving is so inspiring
You deserve so self kindness as well
Serenity, spending time with your Dad is wonderful
I'm sure he enjoys the time you share with him more than you know
Lisa, pace yourself my northern friend! Also I like fudge!
You might be able to call me a fudgy, lol
Take care of yourself.
Vicky, 2 weeks off, sounds like a great time
Hope you make it through today without incident
Enjoy your time off
Well I'm slowly getting through my Christmas tasks
I seem to be the family package wrapper,
My tasks have grown with the girls home
I was at the pool last night, that is always good.
I feel so much better in the warm water
I just wish the water didn't make my chest hurt
Saw my doc this week, internist, he say all is well.
I feel like I should be feeling better than I am physically anyhow
This constant adjustment of a new normal is getting old
Alright
I wish you all the very best
Michael
Grammagus, I'm so glad you and Ed were able to go out for lunch yesterday. I know you both enjoy that. Those kids will love those animals you make. You are very special and deserve to buy yourself something for Christmas. I agree, buy yourself a few things if you can. You definitely deserve that and more. I hope you have a wonderful day.
Serenity, I'm sure Tina enjoyed her brownies and Charlie enjoyed his goodies. A picnic always sounds like fun. Are you getting excited for your trip? When are you leaving for Florida. What part are you going to? I'm hoping the weather will be nice and warm and sunny for you.
Lisa, the fudge sounds wonderful. I used to buy it for my mom all the time. She loved her chocolate as we all do. Please don't over do it though. I'm glad you are waiting for your husband to do it with you. That's a great idea. You want to be able to enjoy the holiday.
Vicky, whoo hoo, yippee!! 2 weeks off!! It's about time. I'm so happy for you. I hope the day flies by for you honey so you can come home and relax and enjoy your holiday yourself. Have a good day honey.
Dianna, 2 days back to back cooking and standing over the stove. You better relax and take it easy today. Well you were right to keep Roxy away from Jack. They probably just need more time. Hope you have a peaceful day today.
Erika, I hope you and mom enjoy your day of shopping. How is your back feeling? Is that pain any better today? I pray you are getting some relief.
Mike, glad you had a nice time at the pool. I used to love my workouts there until I became allergic to the chlorine. It makes my skin itch too much to even go into a pool any more. I'm glad it helps you.
I'm off to get my hair done. Got to look good for the holiday pictures (lol)
I hope everyone has a low pain day with low stress.
Love and hugs,
Xoxoxo

Freaky Friggin Friday. I got up to go to work today and it took me three tries. The first time my head said no. The 2nd time my body said no. The third time my wallet said, you are empty, go to work idiot! So tired today, I had like a 2 hour nightmare that I just couldnt shake. I could sleep for 3 days. But in the sake of no whining, I hope everyone is chipper today.

Serenity you've got to be in Heaven with all that baking over there ;). I'm happy you and Tina had such a good time.
Lisa going thru 2 bags of clothes an incredible chore of its own. Hope you picked an outfit out of them woman! I wouldn't want to share either haha. Well maybe if I had 18 lbs just for me ;)
Vicky two weeks off?!!! Wow!!! The things you can do with that, like squeeze in some much needed rest! Enjoy every moment of it!
Erika you beat me on here today! Have fun today but I sure hope you don't do 11 stores again! Pace pace and pace some more :()
Dianna give Roxy hugs from me and a little tickle under the chin. Good golly that's a lot of work for peanut brittle! You deserve a huge Mom reward for that one! Hope you're taking it easy today.
Mike I dub thee the official Christmas decorater of the room, you really go to town on this! Liking the stamp of wellness from your internist, just wish you were feeling it.
I am running late as usual and need to get it in gear! I have some shopping to do and a battery to power up!
Many blessings to you all,
Toni

Not a good day so far I have had to bake daughter #2 her birthday cake, make gingerbread cookies and go to Costco. Hubby found out today his detached retina bad eye now needs cataract surgery ( caused from the eye injection steroids ) Dec. 30th.
I am struggling with some new and disturbing symptoms from my colon spasms affecting my entire body and deflating energy.
Every post was read and have little energy left to respond today and then go to daughter's house for birthday party. Nice thing is she is very accommodating. Growing up with the disabled and being in non-profit concerning special needs kids and the homeless so I will not need to do a thing but chew.
Hugs, Love and Low Pain,
Joanne
vicky, woo hoo for you!! enjoy this time.
e, glad you're setting some limits this time. hope you have success and low pain.
dianna, props to you, gal! you put me to shame with all you're doing.
mike, glad your daughters are home in the nest. as much as i hate to admit it some is aging...enjoy that pool time - best exercise ever and so relaxing.
ME, we're going to tallahassee on monday. it'll be mild, not much more. tina is going to babysit penny. hope getting your hair done made you feel all sparkley b/c you are anyway.
martin, i hope you're home with your feet up and a martini in hand.
toni, i hope you got the battery powered up. take it carefully with the shopping.
seek, i hope you caught the zzzzs. so frustrating. big hug to you and mr p!
minnie, so sorry your neck is so bad today. hope the rain ends soon.
moonie, really sorry about hubby's eye and your colon spasms. i've had those and it's miserable. just lay back and try to relax. does a heating pad help? sometimes works for me.
i'm so beyond tired and hurting i'm getting concerned about the trip. i was just starting to cook dinner and i'd turned on the wrong burner. i was so glad to see tina's reaction to the brownies and her bootie slippers. she lit up like a christmas tree. i'll give the maintenance guys theirs monday before we go. i am looking forward to early christmas with dad and getting to FL so i'm trying to keep my sights on that.
wishing all a very peaceful and relaxing night! ho ho ho! %)
ME missed you earlier.........hope your new hair cut makes you feel like superwoman!!!
martini big ol hugs.......hope you're catching up on some rest.
Seek sending sprinkles of sleepy dust your way..........don't make me need to send so much it leaves a knot on your head tee hee
moonie hopes up you're feeling better.......you're way past due. Sorry hubby needs another surgery.
hope everyone didn't use all their spoons for the next couple of days! tis the season ugh!! wish I could send cases of them to everyone all wrapped up in pretty bows with lots of glitter to drive you nuts (mike gets extra glitter ha)
Peaceful sleep and rest,
Toni
