Good morning all my FC friends. Today is going to be a quiet day for me.
Yesterday was a trip to the grocery store, chopping a lot of veggies for a salad to take to the nice ladies as blanket brigade tomorrow. It is my thanks for the full set of ergonomic crochet hooks the got me.
Today is going to be a bit cooler in Phoenix, and a slight chance of rain.
I am starting to make the bells and Santa Claus Christmas ornaments for this year. Everything else is getting put aside until I'm done with those.
My stomach has been giving me a bit of a problem lately and when I don't feel well my sugar goes up. UGH!!!
Ed has good days and bad days. If he can sleep during the night then he considers he starts out a good day. He does sleep a lot during the day too, but he tries to stay awake as much as he can.
Wednesday is another appointment with his neuro. I am going to try to get a ride this time. The walk from the bus is really getting longer every time. The only problem is people don't like to be up early and his appointment is at 8:30 am. He has to check in by 8, so we will see if anyone is willing. The pastor will announce my need at the end of the service.
I haven't slept well at night much this week, so I am really tired. I have been cat napping in the day and when I do that then I don't sleep at night. No more cat naps. HA HA. Those just happen.

i was up for hours during the night, so i was lucky enough to sleep until it was light. that's a rare pleasure to see when i take off my sleep mask! penny is so sweet. when i can't sleep she gets up to keep me company.
ok, the patty melts will really happen today, so start your drooling =D'' i'm hoping for a very quiet day myself. could really do with no phone calls. i've decided i'm just not answering it!
i'm really relieved to be staying home. i enjoy visits with my mother, but she's going to be prepping to have my cousin and her two sons and two dogs visit, so she's pretty stressed. i just know she'll be very OCD about boy- and dog-proofing.
wishing all a really mild weekend to gear up for the holidays. as nice as they are, i know that it takes many spoons. hugs all!
Grammagus good for you taking it easy today. Tell the doc's office you need later appointments, they will work with you.
ME what do you have planned for the day? I know you mentioned the beach, but are you going to stay out there all day! Knowing you though you just might ;). Ha! I haven't checked the weather yet, but I hope it's behaving itself for you (())
Serenity I don't know if that sleep was good or not, but glad you managed to get a few winks in there. I want to hear at the end of the day that you kept the phone off, you have more than earned a day off!! Wish I could send you on a trip to PR! I can tell i'm still half asleep I was blinking at boy and dog pooping...........I finally got it right LOL.
I got woke up with an Indian telling me "the government has selected you for $9000". I about cracked up! Yes when they have their lotteries they always have Indians call you on static phones hahahaha! I got on the computer typed in the numbers, it's coming out of Washington and they are busy this morning. I turned their butts in. There is a scam running around though that is dangerous. Once you answer your phone it starts charging your phone long distance and just keeps going when you aren't even aware of it. This can go on until you notice it on your phone bill and the only way to stop it is to stop your service. Damn mean a--es.
Serenity you said your Mom almost got scammed yesterday, she might want to contact the phone company and let them know what happened and just to cover herself.
Going to run and pick up a few things today, but nothing heavy enough to drag my knuckles to the curb. I got the news last night that my niece and family are visiting Thanksgiving. She'll probably be at her Dad's the Big Day, but i'll get a visit with her and my little great nephew. He's growing so fast!

Me got caught up trying to post a reply 3 times. She's got a lousy signal on her phone in Florida. She called this AM and asked me to tell you all to have a good day and she would try again later.
Serenity, I'm glad you got at least, a little rest last night. I started drooling when I read that you're making patty melts tonight. Tina and Claire are lucky dogs! I know you don't make food like that for just you. Good idea to stay home and do your own thing this weekend. Mom will get through it just fine. You don't need the stress added to your stress level already! Have a peaceful day. Can you send patty melts through the mail, lol?!.
Toni, hard to believe but those scammers are still able to fool people. If something sounds too good to be true, it always is! Glad you turned them in. I don't answer any calls that I don't recognize. Same with email. What is this world coming to? Glad you'll have company on Thanksgiving. Are you cooking for them or are they eating at her Dad's. I'd hate to think of you on your feet putting a meal on. Ouch. Hugs
I've been up for a while. From groceries yesterday, everything hurts, even my butt! I'm not even making the bed today. I made stuffed avocados last night so maybe Hal will make breakfast tonight.

another night of poor sleep, not good Serenity. it nice penny keeps you company. when you say sleep mask do you mean a CPAP mask? just wondering because i use one. i find the hum of the machine puts me to sleep. i wish for the sandman to visit you tonight so that you can recharge. great idea to stay off the phones today. enjoy a low key day.
wow Toni that scam sounds terrible! thank you for letting us know. washington huh, making my state look bad arse holioliooos. you made me laugh when you said nothing to drag my knuckles on. the imagery was priceless. enjoy your family visit.
i slept til 9ish. high pain...hubby brought me my meds in bed. sore is an understatement. live and learn. supposed to snow again today. ill try to dust. fires going will have grits for breakfast. hubby will need to go out for milk, not sure if ill go. getting set for a very busy week. hope you all stay warm wishes for lowered pain.

The snow finally stopped here and now they're calling for rain for the next 3 days.... different.
I'm like most, my sleep pattern is totally messed up. I now just sleep when I'm tired. Last night I started out with a good sleep but my "heating pad" (Shyla) kicked me in the head twice, then was snoring the rest of the night.
Just have to blow out driveway and clean the snow out of the bird feeders, then back to this "exciting" life. lol

Please forgive me for not addressing individual posts. I'm going on 6/7 hrs sleep since Tues. My low back pain is off the charts. The facet joints in the L5/S1 area & also my sacrum feels like I'm 4/5 days post op from back surgery. The only position I'm able to sleep in & breathe properly is my L side & with my back like this it's about impossible. I guess it's time to see my spine specialist. My legs keep going weak & buckling yadayadayda! To top it off my R wrist/forearm is flaring & it makes typing painful. Okay enough of that complaining crap lol!
On a bright note my Niece (same brothers youngest) gave birth to a beautiful baby girl yesterday. Her name is Aleiya Rose 8lb 7oz & 21 1/2 inches long. While I would raise boys any day over girls shopping for little girls is soooo much fun! I think I'll need to sell my hubby so I can online shop til I drop LOL! Seeing the little ones kind of makes the pain doable I wish the girls lived near each other so the cousins could grow up together. I'm just happy that their both healthy!

i'll go backwards b/c i've just read lisa's news!!! oh m heavens! you're family is so blessed to have yet another precious blessing! it really will be so wonderful for all these little ones to grow up together. i was lucky enough to have that and we're still besties.

toni, i'm so sorry about that rude awakening. i know about that scam. my mother's was different.
dianna, i've never heard of stuffed avocados. you must share. that sounds so good! i hope you got some relief today. grocery shopping is no easy deal.

buff, sorry your sleep is messed up, too. don't wear yourself out blowing snow when the rain will do it.
mike, i think it's give yourself a break day. with that much pain you're body is speaking up. i'm still working on that skill and know it's no easy thing.
i did answer a couple of phone calls, but only what i wanted. my mother contacted me to let me know the nursing home is getting on their game and she was very appreciative. i've filed a report with the FCC. i think it's fcc.gov. i prefer to use my super powers for good. they really scared the **** out of her with threats of immediate arrest for back taxes which she doesn't have.
e, i just use a sleep mask to keep light away from my eyes. hormones heightened all my senses which doesn't help with sleep.
off to the kitchen!!
Quick check in as Hubby day off and shopping for Thanksgiving dinner. So looking forward to the smells of roasting turkey, pumpkin pies, the different breads and and candy. Love baking and will pace it over 2 days..........Hopefully my arms, hands and fingers will comply.
I read everyone's post and will jump back on later.
