I'd say stay away from FB for awhile!
I have family on mine, but also friends with cP that put up inspirational, tell it how it is and informative chronic pain stuff up. Look up chronic pain association, chronic pain etc.. share it and spread the message ;)
Hope you get to feeling better and hey everyone gets to have a bad day or two every once in awhile!
just no point feeding into it.
i have friends all over the US and world, so that's my main concern, plus a few other interests. if someone is negative or their post is you can block the post or the person.
just step back and be kind to yourself right now.
big hugs!
My granddaughter and her husband announced the impending birth of a baby girl in January. A phone call would have been better but as my 88 year old mother ( we shall be 5 generations as I was, my daughter and mother and grandmother!) said, times have changed. Letters became phone calls, phone calls became text, and now we have fb.
Perfect vacations, perfect unions and then I love my down to earth, tell it like it is friends/family from around the world. I doubt I will make it to those countries and love the pictures and the recipes.
There are many blocked people on my list. I cannot abide negative comments about any group of people. I cannot abide the delusional world of perfection.
I love the truth, the sharing of medical/mental health so support can flow. The asking of prayers for a child dealing with a terminal illness.
Step back as Serenity suggests and when you go back just block the perfect people!
Gentle Hugs,
Joanne
Maybe I'm just an ornery cantakerous old man! But you know what, I'm keepin it real. I always have. I dont have to tell the world that my wife is great or LOOK AT ME I went to Disneyland. Trust me I have banned myself several times. Apparently nobody gets me anyway.
I do like seeing peoples trips lives etc. But to pretend life is perfect I aint buying it. Was Robin Williams life perfect/ One might think so.
I have read similar threads about FB fakeness on DS. There is also many articles about FB Burnout and FB etiquette. I guess I can find some positive pain groups on FB, please clue me in.
On a positive note, a great friend of mine online named Win found me on FB yesterday. She is a stroke patient and an older lady. she reminds me of my mother. She has a great attitude. She laughs and sings and jokes. She is in a wheelchair but can walk maybe 30 feet. She is so funny. She calls me Pal. So I guess you take the good with bad right?

Win sounds like a Hoot! glad you found someone to goof off with :)
