love, i don't have specific experience with this, but i've had to fight medicare a few times. it's a lot of time and trouble, but they're cracking down...do they have x-rays and dr's reports? a letter from your orthopedist (you can draft it, so it's less work for them and covers the important points)...it may seem like a pain (pardon the pun, not intentional), but you can contact your representative and they can really help.

would they be doing it one at a time to allow you recovery? a friend had a knee replacement and had an easy recovery, but it depends on so many variables.

with all the work involved, i'm not sure if you can get it done before sept, but i really wish and pray you could. it's much easier to rehab in the warmer months.

Lovebaby great to see you! If you can wait until after Sept. I would. It probably will take that long to get approval anyways.

I know several people that have had this surgery and all have had good results (the ones I know). The difference has been healing time. Most of them took 8-16 weeks. Research for a surgeon that is known to be competent in this field for the best results.
