Yesterday afternoon the neurologist office called to set up an appointment for a consult. This has been so long in coming that I am elated to finally be able to get some more information about my mini strokes. Unfortunately, I could not get in until April 7th, but at least the appointment is set, so there is hope. That will be one busy week for me as on the 7th, the neurologist, then on the 10th, I have lab work and a mammogram, and then on the 11th, I have an appointment with my pc. I will be living at the VA, but at least I will get everything done before my birthday on the 13th.
I hope everyone has a very special and pain free day today. I plan to do to some cookie baking for hubby and the church. Then I will need a nap. This evening is Bible study. Another busy day.
The other evening, my neighbor spruced up my cane with tape that has designs on it. She put 2 designs on. One is yellow tape with different colored stars and the other one is purple tape with owls on it. She alternated the patterns all the way down. I really like it, instead of just a plain old silver cane.

grammagus, that's great! boy, that will be a busy week, but at least it will put you on the road to some answers. sounds like you have a busy day, too. i bet your house will smell fantastic. cool idea for your cane. that sounds spiffy.
yesterday wasn't what i'd planned at all, but such is life. my neighbor who needs computer help came over, but this session wasn't at all productive. i have to set some limits with that. my cousins are getting together to go through my aunt's house this saturday and invited me. we'll have a pot luck, so i'm glad i waited to food shop since i'll be making potato salad and a dip. food always helps a difficult task. i also have to buy a cord for my new router. why do they always leave out one important cord? i'll see what i can get done today...

Grammagus, my that will be a busy time, but at least you'll get everything out of the way at once. Hopefully, you'll get the answers to your mini strokes. I'd love to be at your house while you're baking those cookies today. Sounds good. I have such a sweet tooth.
Serenity, I'm glad you'll be going to your aunts this weekend. It's a good thing they called you to give you enough notice on the shopping. I know it'll be a tough day, but hopefully being together with everyone else usually helps. Plus it gets you out of your place for a while.
I'm on my way to the pain clinic today to up my pump. Have appointment at 10:30. Other than that, I have a quiet day.

Serenity, be strong as you go through your aunt's house. I'm sure it will bring back a lot of memories. At least having a pot luck might bring some laughter to temper the tears. And good luck setting those boundaries. Some need it stamped on their foreheads, know what I mean?

Here I am in my pepto bismol sleeper. I think I could wear this to the frozen tundra and I would still sweat in it! I have to pick up a few things at the store but otherwise my dance card is empty. Supposed to be high 70's today. Maybe I'll finally do my pre spring rose pruning. Depends on how I'm doing later.

dianna, is that a onesie? those are so comfy. i'm not the greatest at setting boundaries, but i'll have to get better. the 70's sound wonderful. enjoy that and be careful if you get to the roses.
Grammagus TG you finally got that appointment! My gosh you do have a bundle to do, might as well set up a tent while your at it! Your cane sounds really cool :)
Serenity start charging for those computer sessions, that should do the trick! I love how you're all going to have a pot luck at your Aunts. What an ice breaker to get you all started down memory lane. I'd call and find out why the cord didn't come with it!
ME! I hope you find a way to have some enjoyment in your day! I can tell your healing time is wearing you down :(. Where did your little dancing guy go? I'm missing the little shit!
I'm feeling a little rough today after going to the doc yesterday. The roads are torn up from this hard winter and I felt like I was on a roller coaster the whole way there and back! I got to give the doc good news of my healthy eating diet, weight loss and lowering my cig intake. We don't get to give good news very often! I talked to her about going into PT but she said no way my body could handle it :(. So I'm just keeping up with what I'm doing here and hopefully can increase at some point.

I've had incredible pain since Saturday night, the kind of pain where even your hair hurts, and am struggling to make it through the days.
I had to come to work this morning. This much pain makes it so difficult to think straight but I have to meet a deadline and no one else can do it for me. Hoping and praying to finish up soon and go home.
Thinking of you all but cannot address everyone individually.

haha Serenity, I didn't get good at setting boundaries until I started setting them, lol! 20 years ago I was the biggest people pleaser you'd want to meet. It literally took me years of practice for it to become ingrained. Good luck with your neighbor!
Just have to do the hook up in the furnace room. Than pull the old stuff out.

It's gonna be a long car ride, 16 hours? Something like that, not sure, I don't have to drive.

Yippee Mike crawled out of the crawl space!!! He can see the day light again!!! tee hee. Wow Friday's the big day and long ride. Don't forget your pillow! I can't wait to hear how your trip went, but I guess you got to get there first ;)
Somehow I managed to scrub down my bedroom and boy did it need it. Dusting tends to get put off around here. It looks and smells so good, but the allergies are paying the price.
