Good news is abounding in my neck of the woods lately even though we still have medical problems.
I have recently been having trouble getting people to take me shopping lately, so I was telling my daughter in NC about my problem. She contacted someone at her church, who gave her a referral to a church here in Phoenix, for some assistance for me. She called me and told me someone would be contacting me and that they would not act like it was a burden to them. I have one person that is good, but shopping once every two weeks just is not enough. I have a really hard time asking for help even though I am not physically fit any longer. It is amazing that my daughter in NC could get me some help from there. She is a true wonder and she must really love her Mom. Just thought I would share some more good news. I know all of us love to share the good also. Have a great day everyone.

It is so refreshing to hear some good news. It sounds like you have a great daughter. I'm happy for all the good coming your way!
I feel like a broken record... it's another cold and snowy day here. We are gearing up for another big storm Sunday into Monday. Please God, bring us some better weather! This really wears on the spirit.
The group is in my thoughts and prayers. I can't believe how tough its been for everyone and their families. My heart goes out to you all.

sounds like you have a real treasure in your daughter! i'm so glad that she belongs to such a good church, too. i hope the same person or someone else can help you shop more often. so glad that something really good is going on for you!
vicky, i'm sure you're so over the snow. it can wear down both your spirit and your body.
today the mobile market comes by, then there's the resident luncheon. i have chicken breasts thawed to bake, so that's enough for me. i may do a stir fry with one with a little sesame oil and seeds and lots of veggies. wish i still had a wok.

Vicky...I couldn't agree more about the weather. We can't seem to get above 20. It's miserable.

As for me...not much to say. Just can't seem to turn the corner. The hip bursitis is worse then ever. I have no appetite. (Guess the good part of that is I have lost 13 lbs since summer.) I'm just feeling awful.
I have some really challenging days coming up. I have no idea how I'm going to get thru them...but somehow, someway...I will
Hubby's dad called yesterday and said he needed to talk to the both of us so he is coming over today. Hubby said it didn't sound good. Ugh....no more bad news!!!!

Vicky it is a broken record that won't let up! maybe it we all chant at the same time spring will come! that snow and ice is coming my way too and I just want to bury my head :(
Serenity stir fry is right up my alley and has to go on my grocery list now. Enjoy for both of us!
Autumn I so hope the day comes when you feel good and I hope it is soon. I so hope it's nothing serious with hubby's dad.
Day before yesterday I poured boiling water on my hand (losing more strength in the darn hands) and rushed it under cold water, then smeared Silvadene on. It sucked all that heat out of it and no blisters, nothing. Just wanted to mention that. everyone should keep some around.
