I just happened to think about this when I got home today and lo and behold there was a topic on near death experiences.

i was raised as a Christian to believe in spirits, angels, etc. but never knew anybody who saw them. so whatever.... but in the recent years it seems like I've been surrounded by members of my family and friends who have seen something like this and these occurrences have been too numerous to be mere flukes.

last year I visited my bro and sis in law and in our conversation my sis in law Jane said she actually saw the spirit of a child that was killed in a head on collision outside their house. This spirit asked her verbally where he was and she said "don't you know, you're dead?" at which time his spirit disappeared. Jane is nowhere ill or anything to be hallucinating this and neither did she apparently expect such a happening, so I take her at her word. I take this as good evidence that spirit can survive body and actually physically appear to some people.

but that is not all. It seems the women in my family are adept at seeing this stuff while neither my brother or I do not. he jokingly said that these spirits are not appearing to him because he doesn't need help or is beyond help. I guess I must not either. My sister bought some piece of furniture about a year ago. and she would hear strange pounding noises in her house and their dog was frieked. somebody asked her what had changed in the house and she said she just bought that piece of furniture. it was suggested to her that the furniture was haunted. She got rid of it and these incidents stopped.

My nieces on my brothers side have seen either my Aunt or other relatives also, but it's always the girls or women that see this stuff.

Then my mother asks me if I heard what happened to one of her sisters named Mae. Mae had woke up one day and saw an angel in her doorway. It just smiled at her. My mother also saw a bright light in her house next to her one kitchen chair. when it disappeared, it knocked that chair over. I questioned her about this to make sure this occurence could not be caused by anything else (like the angle of the light coming through the window) and she insists it's not caused by anything like that.

I've done a fair share of reading on quantum physics and it's weird that for subatomic particles their position is influenced by that of the observer. nowhere else does this happen. the position of my toaster oven is not influenced by my observation of it . It's either there or not there. Subatomic particles are either here or there depending on how we observe them. Eerily, this is how some of near death experiences are - with a simple thought some people can either be inside a room or outside a room or in another location. I really can't put my finger on what this relationship means but maybe someday I might.

so I don't see any ghosts or nuthin. the only thing I see in my life is how things sometimes work out for me exactly at the right time and place so my life's problems turn out ok - almost as if a divine plan is guiding it all

anybody have similar experiences?
