so what the heck, why not take a break from a lot of politics and do something interesting like detail the kind of jobs we've all held.

My first job was at a canning factory in Clyman, WI. this was 1 yr out of high school. I was a pea grader and I had to take samples of peas from the trucks that would bring the peas to us from the farms. We paid the farmers based on the grade of the peas. Then after that season was over, I worked in the corn shed putting corn into corn knives. Not real fun and I constantly looked at the clock waiting for each break. i came out of the shed feeling like I fell into a vat of corn flakes.

I was unemployed for a year after that and got a job at a video store where I worked for 2 years. The boss there had spread his video collection out among other subsidiary stores too thin and for months we had so few videos that few customers showed up and it would have been better to close the store than keep it open and have few customers. Also, he was in financial straights after his partner left with most of the money and he kept cashing payroll checks written out to himself at numerous grocery stores who kept coming back to the store looking to get their money back after the checks bounced.

During this time I began another job at a bindery where we made magazines. i was at one time working two jobs - starting at 3 a.m. some days and closing up the video store at 9 p.m. one week i swore I worked about 80 hours between two jobs.. Soon after the video store boss made me mad i quit and worked the bindery only.

At the bindery i met some close friends and a lot of interesting people. one guy named Peter was a midget and we constantly gave him a hard time about EVERYTHING. He drove a moped to work and one day, for a joke, I parked it around the corner of the building. He didn't find it funny and almost callled the cops and I think he never found out who did it. He begged for me to drive his moped and I finally relented and drove it but didn't pay enough attention to where the breaks were and found myself accidently crossing the road and almost got hit with a car and crashed into a snow bank on the other side of the road.

After 2 years of bindery I went to a place call Perry Printing where I met my now ex who was very pregnant at the time. we processed paper labels - beer labels on bottles, for instance - and I was a machine operator, a trainer, and back up team leader. After 16 years of my body hurting from repetitive motion I left and bounced jobs for a bit before landing my present job in 2006.

I also worked at American Family Insurance doing nothing but data entry. hated it. I thought I could do so much more with my life. I worked at a place called Great lakes Higher Education calling on student loans asking them to pay their bills. hated it. I'm going more with my life now than I ever have at least more wtih computers than I ever did before.

I have an Associate in Accounting but am not doing accounting. but I'm glad I have it.
