She is gone? But she has been a part of DS for a long time! I know I haven't been on here much at all, or in any groups that we at one time shared, so didn't know she was leaving.

Same here. It was pretty sudden. She left me a message asking to find a new grouup leader here before she was gone.

I have no idea what made her leave, if she crossed the wrong path, or just had enough of the abuse. Just don't know. Someone actually reported me in the past few days too - for what I have no idea. I don't understand DS anymore.

I miss her a lot I'm not here enough to take her place. I would love to see the group continue though.

i think censorship is a subtle form of terrorism, and it's ironic so many posts and replies on that other board are being censored and deleted.

Well, I've seen where a title of a forum limits "some" from sharing.

So, "The Buzz" gives people leeway to discuss what they want to....I mean...hopefully...unless "the buzz" becomes a complex definition about "bees"...and then people would be singled out for not "discussing" bees...

....and the "buzz" of bees and only if some complain that "buzz" means "bees"...it can get very confusing about the "intent" of the name of the forum....I'm scared...hold me...lol....

What happens is that if there is no dissent there is no counterpoint. As annoying it is to "listen" to others opinions, it serves to force our opinions to be more credible...if we have to work to "prove" our pov...that means...more research on our part, hence everyone wins...but when dissenting voices are shut down...we're left with the proverbial echo chamber...and that is not only boring...but intellectually non stimulating....

dissent is fine if all parties are open to hearing other viewpoints.

when simple truths are shot down and rebuked because they don't fit a person's particular ideology, intelligent conversation gives way to closed-minded argument.

counter-productive to intellectual growth. fun for the people doing the arguing, i guess, but to me it's just a huge drag.

You're right Mojo...I agree with that. It does grow tiresome to simply argue rather than have an honest debate.

Just me, but I don't argue, I don't make fun of either side, nor post stuff that could be considered disrespectful of either side.
