How cool! What are some of your favorites? I haven't seen many musicals in my time, but I have to say that 'Wicked' would have to be my favorites!

I grew up listening to and watching musicals. I love them! When I was a kid we lived in St. Louis. I was one of six kids and we certainly didn't have much money. The munincipal opera was in Forest Park and within walking distance. Back in those days the back 5 or 6 rows were free. My mom and dad would take us a few times a year. We saw shows like The Sound of Music, The Student Prince, HMS Pinafore...the list goes on. On TV we saw more...Oklahoma, Carousel, Seven Brides for Seven Brothers (one of my favorites)
I'm a huge fan of old movies in general and musicals in particular.
Lol. Right now I'm watching "The Taming of the Shrew" 1967 staring Elizabeth Taylor and Richard Burton.

@Babyrena, I think the disney animated films are some of the best entertainment out there.

I love "A Chorus Line", too and "West Side Story", "Fiddler on the Roof" and Funny Girl (and Funny Lady) are great too. Along with Chicago (I have listened to this musical so much! It's a blast!), My Fair Lady, The Prince of Egypt, Beauty and the Beast, all really great musicals. :)

@John1958, Did you see Meet Me in St. Louis when you lived there? Love that musical!

@ TheWhip some of my faves are Dumbo, Bambi, Pocahontas, Lion King, Mulan, um...all of them! haha!
For other musicals I like West Side Story, Grease Grease 2, Cry Baby, I like all the new ones too. Drumline, Save the Last Dance, Fighting Temptations,
I like all the real life musicals too, La Bamba, Selena, What's love got to do with it, Buddy Holly Story, Temptations,
I liked watching all the big band movies on tv when I was little, too, especially the ones with the long flowing gowns, and the men twirling and swinging them. How romantic.
I like the Sound of music, of course all with christmas and holidays coming up I like the charlie brown holiday movies, Rudolph the red nose reigndeer, frosty, Miracle on ...street, haha, my mind went blank, scrooge,
My list can go on and on.....
