This group is open to all who have been diagnosed with a terminal illness. It is a safe haven where you can vent, cry, laugh, or simply sit back and read and gain inspiration from daily posts. You will make many friends here as we journey together. This is a place where hope will be offered on a daily basis. When you can go no further this group will help carry you...
Some days are so frustrating.
I get so tired of trying to hire people & then they don't show up to do the job they were hired to do.
So 3 years of work has just gone down the drain because of sloth.
The frustration that I couldn't do it myself got to me.
The frustration of living on such a tight budget got to me.
I had a good hard cry.
and now i will get up and move on.
sometimes i just need to let the frustration out.
and then go on.

I know where you're coming from about getting jobs done and seeing what needs to be done and not able to do it. I can't afford someone to come do it. The counselor gave me a name to see if I could get someone to come. It's called Area Agency on Aging. I typed it in and found it in my state I am sure you can too. It says they will come and help if your over 60. And for some even younger. I am going to call them tomorrow and see what they got to say. Best of luck to you. I will pray for you. My left leg is going numb and it hurts and makes my toes hurt and turn purple. I like the color but not the pain. So if you run out of somthing to do...please pray for me too.Thanks

as for crying, i don't do it often, but sometimes I just gotta have a good sob to release all that pent up emotion and frustration; kind of like a cleansing, but then move on because no use wallowing in it.
i sure don't do it often any more as it isn't as fullfilling to have a good cry when you can't breath afterwards.

oh well a friend i haven't seen for 13+ years came to visit, did some handyman stuff for me & that perked me up
isolation, money worries & not being able to keep up; i guess i just have to learn to deal with.
budgeting i shall figure out somehow.
feeling much better today :)

I did find out that "meals on wheels" is for 60 years old, but has several programs to help people younger if it is needed.
I don't feel I qualify for "early" help, but in a few more months I will be eligible.They ask for a "donation" of 2.50 a meal but have a "sliding" scale so no one is left out. it seems different areas are different so you will have to look up your area (for instance in my area it is only 4 days a week, but most places is 5 days a week)
that one may be helpful for many of us that don't feel up to fixing a meal!
also, a person can go to the place to eat, which may be helpful at getting out and meeting others.
the area that I live doesn't seem to have much available, but when I looked up "aging & adult services" for other counties (salt lake for instance) there are many things available from bus transport, to lawn mowing and shoveling services....so it is possible, depending on where you live to have more help available than I do.
It did have things listed like "HEAT assistance" that helps low income & seniors with utilitility bills in the winter.'
and a home insulation thing that they weatherize your house.
there were some home improvement low interest loans, that may help some, but i don't want to get into "loans" at this point.
it's definitely worth looking up adult assistance in your area to see what may be available in your area...or at least meals on wheels if it's like my area :)
fonzy, i hope you found them for your area. my prayers are still with you.
i also found a 55+ that had like a booklet of things offered to people over 55years old. That seemed to list many different disabilty type of help things. Some helped financially, some cost. but it had things like eye dr's that would come to the home and many useful things. Once again it may not be in your area, or within your budget, but it seems there are things out there to help---it's just finding them :)
and sometimes ya just need a good cry and god sends help ;)
