Terminal illness support group Community Group
This group is open to all who have been diagnosed with a terminal illness. It is a safe haven where you can vent, cry, laugh, or simply sit back and read and gain inspiration from daily posts. You will make many friends here as we journey together. This is a place where hope will be offered on a daily basis. When you can go no further this group will help carry you...
Sometimes i feel like the whole world is going on without me. i get frustrated that i can't do many of the things i used to do.
and of course one of my hardest things to deal with is when the monthly bills come in & that i have to live on such a tight budget that i can't do many things because of money, and it hurts my pride to have to ask for help just to get my medications.
i don't have any answers on how "not" to feel that way, but i can relate to the feeling.
i do have 3 wonderful children that i know love & support me; but who are also busy with their own lives so sometimes i feel so alone.
as i have become more isolated with this dx, my friends have also gone on with their lives. i have 1 very good friend i have been blessed with that comes to visit once a week.
i keep hoping with warm weather coming that i will be able to get out more often. to go to the store & not have to worry about being exposed to the winter diseases. to go for walks with fancy instead of the treadmill in my house. and even to just get out & spray weeds & take care of my property will be a nice change from housework.
I am sorry you are feeling this way, but yes, i sure can relate! (((HUGS)))))
i just went to a new pulm & she was all about "if" i have certain conditions there is a new medicine that can help prolong my life (not the copd part tho)--- i don't think that Dr's quite understand that sometimes the thought of living is scarier than the thought of dying. Dr's are trained to "save lives".
i think this does bring up the point of how important i think it is to have an Advanced Directive/Living will so my wishes are known.
I was able to go out and get almost an acre around my house sprayed (1/2 acre still to go). a neighbor with a tractor came & tilled under the weeds in my feild ( i'm not up to planing crops any more--so just keeping it weed free until one of the kids wants to use the property for something)
my grandson (in law) came down to help get the old ATV going so he could spray the fencelines; then WHAMMO!
the winds came roaring thru, it turned cold & even dropped some snow! (which luckily melted) so that put a halt to that.
but it did feel good to get out of the house & do things outside.
My 02 company is going to bring me a backpack to try the small 02 tanks in, and even though i have to turn my 02 up to 6LPM now, they said no problem that they will bring me how ever many travel tanks as i need.
so i am feeling much better & i know nice weather is trying to break thru to us
:)
grace, we do get inventive on how to keep going don't we :)
blue; I hope today is a good day for you
((((HUGS))))
Look at what I found, a new avator, just happens to be the spitting image of me!!
Don' I look young for 75?? lol
Used to be a red head up until 6-7 yrs ago. Have 3 red headed daughters and one blonde one.. No red heads amongst the grandkids.

the founder of this group was 1st told she had copd & she came on to the copd board.
then she was diagnosed further & started this board which a lot of us followed to support her.

glad you found us here.
i'm hoping this board can get going again.
Many yrs ago I worked in an office where we communicated via teletype. So one day while I was sending a msg to a company in Italy, the bell starting ringing and the msg stopped transmitting. I looked at the paper msg that was being hand typed by an Italian teletype operator.
His msg read "Whatsa u name".............Loved his English (lol)
OK, who's next??
my name is simpler (kind of)
I used to raise, train and show dogs & i needed a "kennel name"
As it was a "family"sport that i wanted to include my kids i thought i would figure out a name with the whole family included.
so it is the first initial of each of our names;
J= Jerriah, son
A= Adreanna, daughter
R= Rachael, me :)
C= Chandra, daughter
A= my ex husbands name was Allen---now i tell people it stands for "Associates"
Who's next? :)
blue I do know what you mean.
