Terminal illness support group Community Group
This group is open to all who have been diagnosed with a terminal illness. It is a safe haven where you can vent, cry, laugh, or simply sit back and read and gain inspiration from daily posts. You will make many friends here as we journey together. This is a place where hope will be offered on a daily basis. When you can go no further this group will help carry you...
This was a really good support group, where we could talk about death and living with a terminal illness and support each other when we were scared or had a bad day.
we could also laugh and support each other when we had a good day.
I don't know what happened to beth if she got too busy with her foundation or .....
and, being a board where we have a terminal illness, member do pass away so our membership drops, but it seems there is always someone that is new told, scared and needs a place to come to add membership.
I think this is a special board and it shouldn't just fade away from people not posting.
I know other boards that probably get sick of me posting, but one thing about online boards is;;;= if no one posts, the board dies.
I know some people are shy & would rather come just read, but a support group needs input to survive.
okay, that is my vent.
i hope people come.
i hope they post topics.
i hope they reply to topics posted.
i hope they feel they can say anything how they feel (respectfully & with good language of course) and never feel like they are being judged.
i miss this honest & open support group & i hope others will come back, share & lets get this going again.

i just miss everyone & wonder who is alive, who is dead, who is feeling great, who is feeling bad etc.

anyone out there?
i'm missing the old timers & want to meet any newcomers
i realize we can't always come on daily, heck I even have other things to do besides the computer! LOL
although, as my disease progresses i do find myself spending more time on the computer.
winter i am indoors more & i find the computer gives me a link to the world and something to do.
Summer I like to be outdoors much more.
Yesterday & today we have been having rain so it's "dampened' (pun intended" me going outdoors.
2 days of rain in the desert= wow!
I have a relative that I recently visited, she moved to an Assisted Living apartment (she doesn't have much money at all), the place is new and beautiful and also happens to be out in the countryside (like you). She has developed new friends, and they share much quality time together (Bingo, card games, pot-luck dinners, computer lessons etc). They have van service that takes them to local stores and doc appointments, and of course many have their own vehicle. Of course, some of the tenants are in better health than others (they exchange a lot of favors). Some even earn extra money during cleaning service for others. They are company when you need it, and yet you still have the privacy of yr own place.
I don't think you should even mention bank acct to county office, save it to invest in yr new place.

You may very well have numerous items that can be sold when you start to downsize, don't overlook them..
Time to get started, pick up the phone , start w/the county services.
Now, I expect to hear from you re yr future plans. Don't mean to be Bossy, but I have time on my hands and would like to help from this end. Remember there is help out there, you just have to go looking for it.

Myself, been trying to get a lot done while the weather is nice here and don't spend much time on here. Plus kind of rough on many levels, so downtime is usually horizontal. Think of all often! :)

i bought a few cherry tomato plants, cucumber plant & looking for a zuchini & yellow squash that i am planting where i have some extra drip line running on my lilacs.
i don't know if they will produce, but i love snacking on those with dip so thought i would try them.
i haven't planted a garden for years, but though this would be fun = the lazy way of gardenining when only 1 person to eat it :)
