Hey guys, well my primary freaked me out, I had an urgent message Monday that they had set up an appointment with a breast surgeon. I was out of town that morning so when I called they said I needed to get in to the breast surgeon ASAP. So they made an appointment the next morning. Well after all the hubbub, he thinks it's just an antibiotic resistant staff infection. So no inflammatory breast cancer thank God. He changed the antibiotics I was on and I go back tomorrow.
In the midst of all this, my mom died last Monday. It's a blessing as she was in a lot of pain for a long time. It was very quick. She woke my dad at 2 am saying she couldn't breathe(he had just taken her to the bathroom and she was completely fine) and by the time he got to the other side of the bed her eyes rolled up and she was out. Unfortunately the paramedics intubated her in the ambulance. She had a living will and a DNR, but not the stuff she needed at home so the paramedics don't intubate you. Both my dad and I are getting them ASAP.
My dad called and I headed down and they took the tube out. They had a morphine drip and it was very peaceful, she was gone in less than 20 minutes. We are so grateful it was peaceful and she was ready. I hope we all are as lucky.
So We are getting ready to head to PA for the service.

First let me say that I am sorry your mom passed away but so glad that it was quick. I am glad that you can be at peace knowing she was ready. I am keeping you and your family in my prayers during this time as I know it has to be tough losing your mom. I am glad that it is just an infection after all in your breast instead of breast cancer. This is a blessing!! I will pray that the antibiotics do their job quickly so that you can be rid of this infection once and for all!!

I was finished with my 21 days on antibiotics on the 12th and yesterday it came back. This time a little worse. I asked for a referral to an infectious disease doc instead of the breast doc since BC is not a concern. They have a short week next week for Thanksgiving but she felt she could get me in the first week of Dec. I hope he can get rid of it for good because I have a lot coming up.
