I am grateful.....
1. That the man I thought I married never existed.  (It makes it so much easier to move on.)
2. That I only saw the surface of his mental sickness in our marriage and didn't live a day in the marriage even suspecting who he really was (I had the strength to leave on day one).
3. That I was a good wife and never lost my temper, or my character, or resorted to any of the low degrating behavior he manifested. (I know I will be a good wife to a man who deserves me in the future).
4. That I never had any children with him.  We were going to start trying for children this year.  (Nothing short of a miracle from God saved me that horrible fate.)
5. That I only lost 4.5 years of my life to this man (married for 3).... I felt like it was everything, all my best years, all my hope to procreate and have a family of my own.  (After seeing you ladies'post who spend 2-6 times as long as me I felt so ungrateful.)
6. That I have so far tested negative for any sexually transmitted disease or negative pap smear results.  And this horrible sin against me has not taken away my chance to have A healthy pregnancy in the future. (A miracle, considering he has had an estimated 200 sexual partners including male transgender prostitutes since we have been together).
7. I'm grateful that he was so good at hiding his double life that I suffered very little in my life in the last 4.5 years.  I would have told you honestly that I was happy.  He had his emotional problems that were very apparent but nothing I can't say I didn't gladly choose to work through/on for the sake of my marriage.  (I thought those were the deep dark problems of his soul but obviously not... only in retrospect am I able to see and feel the wounds of his controlling manipulation).
8. For the fact that the evidence of his hundreds of torrid affairs and illegal use of prostitution is SO Horrific that I was able to file on the statute of FAULT (of his fault) for divorce.  It will likely settle in my favor and leave me with the majority of all our assets, home, allimony etc. (And him with all our debt... which is obviously his since sociopaths lack money managment skills and honestly).
9. That, although I don't feel like I have much time.... I know I am generally still young enough to have a shot at a real life, with a real sincere person, and have the family I have always dreamed of. 
10. And finally, I am grateful and I truly believe that this monster would have kept me forever, unknowingly against my will, in a marriage that only I was committed to... he would have lied to me forever and taken my whole life with no remorse.  But God saved me and showed me, through the most obscure detail (in the course of 4 days, like a bandaid being ripped from a wound)... God showed me who he was.
