Can I ask for some advice.
Because I was the one who had to leave the home once my ex partner ended it with me, and move around, try to find a job, have no money, no stable home (also after cancer) all three of my beloved dogs are on his property and in his care and I have no opportunity to see them or have them with me right now, but I am the rightful owner of them and their papers are in my name, and god help me, the one thing he is not going to get away with is to take them from me. But I have to be smart in how I deal with this because of course if I rise up against him we know the wrath I will face. He has even gone to the extent of removing their ownership papers from my personal file and I am therefore in the process of getting copies. I know I can't reclaim them until I have a stable home with a garden so it might take some time but he appears to have decided he owns them and that I will never get them back. I am off to a friends farm for two months and sent him an email to say I would like to take the dogs with me as he has had them for months and received a mail tonight saying "its not going to happen, forget it". I didn't reply as I avoid all contact with him and I need to think of the next step anyway. I won't provoke him or let him get the better of me, even if it means I don't take them to the farm. They are my babies, my only family left and he is monstrously removing them from me when he knows how much they mean to me. How should I act, what should I do?
