So I found out that the man I dated and trusted for 3yrs (labeled a Sociopath by two of my counselors...I saw one who told me to get out of the relationship as quickly as possible....I did- moved- and saw another counselor, who came to the same conclusion- this is 8 months ago- have not had any contact with him since), keeps writing to my family (I posted a long thread on another group about this- here just in a nutshell).
Anyway: my family does NOT believe me and he, in a very subtle yet sly way, keeps bashing me.
The situation now: I am the crazy one, unable to cope with life, irresponsible etc etc. He wrote to my 16yr(!!) old niece: ' I am glad to know you have the photos! Please share them with your family. They will appreciate it!
Sorry to hear about your aunt, but it is not a surprise to anyone who knows her. She has great abilities and talents, but unfortunately a few major flaws that creates terribly difficult situations.'
Yet he is the one who dresses up in women's thongs, swimsuits and pantyhose and sends these pictures to women online. He also contacts hundreds (no exaggeration) with the same paragraph to see who he can entangle. After hearing my 'story', my counselor told me to watch 'Sleeping with the Enemy'. Only could open windows a certain way (me), would get mad when the dogs would bring the ball to me instead of him, twist stories, wouldn't let me open window in car, would take picture of odometer before giving me his car, couldn't have TV, would take house key off me.... and so on, and so on.
So I am the one who creates terribly difficult situations.......the sad thing is, that my 16yr old niece thinks, he is the bomb and I am the crazy one: YES, the stressed out one, the one without support, the one who is telling the truth....but that just sounds too CRAZY!
Yes, I DO know, that this is what 'they' do, what makes them tick and all of that. Yet, there is still always this doubt creeping in, may be I did something too, first of all when your own family does not believe you....

Angel this would be a perfect time for you to get some time away from the carnage you can talk to those under the influence until you are blue in the face it will just make you look more crazy so I think no contact with them all for a while until they learn for themselves what this guy is up to. He is obviously enjoying the whole show, you getting put down everybody else back stabbing you so take yourself out of the game refuse to play and lay low for a while. I am sure you are very sad and upset so time for you to show yourself some love and go pamper yourself. Be kind to yourself you're healing and you don't need his BS and I bet you look better in a thong than he does :)) sorry but that's really weird.
Go easy we here all support you and I truly believe you have made a lucky escape.

You know you aren't crazy. In time they will see. Just sucks that they ever doubted you at all. This man is a grade-A Asshat.

And I agree it will be best if you can remain calm and at peace, if at all possible, as he stirs and muddies the waters. When the dirt settles, your family will see clearly. It might take a little time, but be patient. The most important thing right now is you KNOW the truth, and with that knowledge you are the one truly in power. Let him act this way, for a little while anyways. If at any time you feel your niece is in any kind of danger, I wouldn't blame you if you went to her parents and shared the truth about your ex being a warped perverted monster. But do so with caution and remain very, very calm. If you have evidence of his activities, be prepared to lay it all out there. But do it with caution. One way or another, the truth will expose his lying smear campaign.
Meanwhile, I hope Karma Chick will pay him a visit and kick his ass! Stay strong, angel..... sending you peace, love & light. And a big (((hug))) :)
I don't know, why my sister allows further contact!? She usually has a very good head on her shoulders and is more the analytical kind (lawyer). Quite baffling.............
