This story, is not a piece of fiction.......just making sure, you know!
Once upon a time, last Thursday, I was peacefully sitting outside my favorite restaurant, having dinner, working on my computer. Two doors down is a 'trendy' place, run by a, sometimes, obnoxious French guy (you know how the French are).....but TRENDY, nevertheless.
I thought, I saw a glimpse of a girl, I once called friend, but distanced myself from, in the course of dealing with all this Sociopath crap. Like many, she also couldn't understand. ...BUT wait: I had known this girl, let's call her Helga, for over ten years and over time, noted a lot of 'odd' behaviors: today I can call them by their names, thanks to 'my' Sociopath (sounds like a pet, like Chucky Doll...may be?). OCD, definitely N and some other good stuff.
To make a looooooong story short: when I was going through the worst of my trying to cope with the aftermath of all this sociopathic craziness, the drama she kept bringing into my life (and has for most of the time I have known her.....talk about SELF importance), brought me to the realization and decision, to NOT want her in my life any more. I actually couldn't handle it. I told her, that I could not be her friend and that was that.
.....until I was sitting there, enjoying my chicken pho , she saw me, came over and sat next to me. She asked me, nicely, how I was, I asked back and she went to hug me.......NO NO NO!
I told her, again, that I did not want to be her friend and the mask fell! Out came the ugly face: INSTANTLY!

Again the drama, the same OLD BS, accusing me of something I did not and couldn't have, known about. Trying to make me feel guilty....she angrily got up, walked away, with the words: 'You should consider, who your friends are!' 'You are right!', I said.
I should hook her up with 'my' S and watch, how they tear each other to pieces in their charismatic, charming, selfish, deceiving ways.
Then I listen to Wayne Dyer, who says (and I actually do believe this): You have to love ALL of god's children (or the universe's creatures).....ALL of them.
Sigh! That's hard sometimes! ........first of all when it comes to the Ns and Ss in our lives.
That's my story for tonight and now I am off to watch "Sleeping with the enemy', to REMIND myself, to NEVER go back there, as there are wonderful things and people waiting.

And you're so right about better times ahead. Yesterday, I wrote on my FaceBook page a quote from C.S Lewis: "There are far far better things ahead than any we left behind."
