Hi all. I wanted to recommend a website I have been exploring. My cousin recommended it to me;she works in the mental health field. It's called psychologytoday.com and you can search for therapists in your area. It lists what the therapist specializes in and what type of insurance they take. The site itself has a lot of interesting articles too. I just read one about the 3 types of narcissist and how they act on a first date.

I didn't know what the word narcissist meant. I just thought it meant something like vain. After reading the article, I can see that my ex was what they call a toxic narcissist. Narcissists lack empathy and normal emotions, like a sociopath.

I found the article really helpful because it gives scenarios for how a first date goes, and teaches you what to look for as warning signs. I think it would be helpful for some of you to read so you don't make the same mistake in a future relationship. You may even be a type of narcissist yourself, as there is more than one type and not necessarily all bad people.

I'm going to keep reading and I hope it will help me be more prepared for my therapist appt in 2 weeks.
