My now ex waited 21 weeks to tell me she was pregnant. Only two weeks after discovering this life changing news she was thrown in jail on temporary investigatory hold for violating her probation, that I didn't know she was on. She lied about having a criminal record, lied about birth control and about being faithful to me while dating. I soon discovered that she was deeply in debt, and that she was just trying to trap me or one of two other guys into fatherhood! She created a HUMAN just to get child support money out of one of us to pay off her restitution and credit card debts. I was the unlucky "winner". I am now battling her in court over custody of my 1 year old son. Essentially I am funding her case against me through child support because she hasn't had a job since she moved in with her parents 6 hours away, taking my son from me. I'm so worried that soon he will start to develop her personality and become a manipulative sociopath as well. She is making me fight for any time with him, delaying court proceedings and doing everything she can to drain what little savings I have just to hurt me. Everyday I regret the time we spent together and that I was stupid enough to trust her. I wish I could forget about this and move on. I hate that I spend so much time thinking and agonizing about this. We've been seperated now for 6 months, and I want to move on and find someone else who can help me to forget about the pain when I don't HAVE to focus on it... but the few attempts I've made at dating have been sabotaged by a distrust of women in-general despite knowing this was the act of a single sociopath not a whole half of the population. I fear getting played and trapped again by another manipulitive liar. And more than anything I want to be the best man and example I know how to be for my son, but its hard to stay positive toward that goal when I only see him infrequantly at court, with his mother present. I want to be worthy to be my son's father full time. I want to be worthy of love again, or rather, for once. And I want to forget about all this useless anger and pain I feel toward her and myself for having trusted her.
