The man I was with, I'm convinced, is a sociopath with psychopathic tendencies. My god I was in love with this man. He showed me romance, he seduced me, he showered me in admiration and attention and "love"...and he slithered his way into my life through my baby...Liam, who was 2 at the time. He became close with my son which of course to me looked like "wow, this is my dream man, this is the one".
It didn't take long for the emotional abuse to begin. The physical abuse came shortly after. He sexually abused me, so much to the point that he put me in the hospital. I had vaginal hemorrhaging and I went into hemmorage shock, had 3 blood transfusions and almost died all in all. I was so mind fucked by this man though..i defended him. I didn't press the charges. My whole family just stood there like "what the fuck Courtney are u serious"
It got worse. He got worse. But he was all I had. He isolated me from everyone. When him and I were together, it felt like we were untouchable. When we had sex, it was so powerful and there was so much magnetism in the room, I thought we were soul mates guys.....
He is the most evil human being I've ever met. This man conned his way into my life. He lied about who he was and what he wanted with me. He promised me the entire world, he did. He raped my body and my mind. He knew exactly what he was doing all along.
It's been 4 months without him. He tossed me out so fast I couldn't even goodbye. I suffer from traumatic ptsd after this "relationship". I cry almost everyday still. Sometimes, I still feel as though I'm connected to him bc he never gave me closure. When I asked for it, all he said was "if you think I never cared then u don't know who I really am at all". He never apologized for anything. Not the cheating, not the lies, not the abuse, not for the way he left my son and I, nothing. He blocked me on all social media and blocked my cell phone number but when he saw me in public this past June (2 months after he left) he confronted me...just to tell me how pathetic he thought I was and that he tells everyone he chills with now that I'm crazy and how he's so successful now and blah blah blah. I feel like he's gonna come back again one day bc he leaves this little crack open between us which also gives me this,dooming feeling in my head bc he has blocked off all communication with me..so it feels like he's controlling me still somehow.
Help guys. When does the ptsd and the intrusive dreams stop? How do i get past the memories of the idolization phase? The love that he manufactured me to feel were some of the strongest feelings I've ever felt before :(

I am just now able to start to love myself. I realized that if I got into something with someone else it wouldn't work right now. I have never taken care of myself. I've always tried to help everyone and never myself. I can't be there for someone in a relationship without healing first. Everyone is different. I'm still in therapy once a week. I found a therapist that has many women and men in the same situation. I've read a ton of books on this. The one that helped me the most is Becomg the Narccisists Nightmare. You can listen to it on audible. My ptsd keeps me from actually reading a book, so I listen. If you want to write me, please do. I'll be happy to share my list of books with you. I'm always available to talk. Everyday I get a little stronger. It will happen! I PROMiSE. I lost everything. I am gaining myself back. Way more important than any material thing on this earth.

Us. Especially 3 kinds of women. 1) the religious 2) the financially dependent 3)the single mums. So don't love him anymore. He's really a fraud.
